I watched ANH a couple days ago, and here's something strange I noticed:

When the Jawas arrive at the Lars homestead, and the droids are being arranged up outside the sandcrawler, you can see a couple of Jawas that are about the same height as Threepio.

Strange that, as far as I know, no fans or EU writers have picked up on this. thinking

What's the difference between a dwarf and a midget? Very little.

Midgets (if you want to use the non-PC term for them shame_on_you ) don't have the stubby arms & legs that dwarves do; midgets have the same proportions as an average person, only on a smaller scale.

One of the tall Jawas was named in starwars.com's Visual Guide as Zubwen (aka 'The Tower').

Unlikely. Their greater physical mass would give them a distinct edge over smaller, weaker Jawas in a tribal society such as theirs.
