	Coming from a country that has a Constutional Monarchy I can say firmly that Princess Leia is still a Princess even though her planet has been destroyed. She would be able to keep the title until she died and then I assume the title would die with her. In theory it could pass down to her child, but as theres no Alderaan anymore it would be a bit pointless. A more interesting point though, is why, if her Mother died when she was young (the Queen of Alderaan I mean, not Padme) then why is she not Queen Leia by the time Star Wars comes around? -----signature----- I felt a great disturbance in the force. As if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror. Then were suddenly silenced.

	The obvious answer is that her adoptive mom was still alive to get blasted into molecules by the Death Star. Correct answer: Lucas wasn't thinking about this at the time. 	Correct answer: Lucas wasn't thinking about this at the time. Lucas specifically says that Leia had vague Padmé memories.

Breha would've been queen by blood, so a non-bloodline royal like Bail, who became royalty through marriage, could not be King as that would end up outranking the queen. He can't outrank blood. That's because she is appointed and later re-elected to that position. As it is, Leia is still the Princess of the House of Organa. She was legitimately adopted by Bail and Breha Organa. The title is still hers despite Alderaan's destruction. If London were nuked, but William or Harry were still alive, then they'd still be royalty despite that. The title has to be stripped or given up freely. Michael Jackson was still known as the "king of pop" even after he lost any relevancy to the music world. So I'd say Leia would still be a princess. A king without a kingdom.
