Grey Royal Guards In ROTJ?
I own the ROTJ Special Edition (the only editon of the OT I own, BTW, so I don't know if this has been changed in subsequent editions), and I noticed that after Palpatine arrives on the Death Star with him, along with the regular red guards, are a few royal guards in grey robes and armour.
Are these guards supposed to be part of a special faction within the royal guard?
I haven't even seen grey guards mentioned in refrence material or the EU, so I don't know if this was intended or the result of some sort of gaff.

I've never noticed them. I may have to watch ROTJ again sometime in the near future to see if I can spot them.

Those arent Royal Guards, theyre his advisors, Sate Pestage and Sim Aloo, in a light blue-ish garb coming off his ship. There are also regular Imperial Officers in grey, along with some storm troopers.

Hmm ... I looked closely, and I'm sure they were wearing helmets. Still, I could be mistaken.
And weren't his advisors wearing purple?

Are you talking about about the scene when the Emperor comes down the ramp of his shuttle ? If so, those are his advisors behind him, and they look light blue-ish / light purple-ly on my screen.

I'm talking about the part right after Palpatine arrives and has his little talk with Palpatine and just before the scene cuts to Luke on Dagobah.

Nevermind. I watched the part again, and it isn't a royal guard. I saw that one of them had their face exposed, proving me wrong.
Damn, now I feel like a fool.
