Nope. There are simply courses in theological ethics that I need to take as part of my degree. This semester I had Foundations of Moral Theology and Jewish Health Care Ethics. Next semester I have my last class - Methods of Moral Theology. The paper on physicalism is for a class I took last semester - Interpersonal Ethics. When my classwork is finished, I have about three months to study for my comprehensive exams; and then I start writing my dissertation.
As part of my comps I need to have pretty much comprehensive knowledge of the secular, Roman Catholic, and Jewish perspectives on a wide variety of bioethics issues, as well as legal precedents, clinical procedures, philosophical methodologies, theological principles, etc.
Grad school is fun. For masochists.
