The actual line:

Stormtrooper 1: "You know what's going on?"
Stormtrooper 2: "Maybe its another drill."

What I heard as a kid:

ST1: "You know what's going on?"
ST2: "Maybe its another girl."

Hence my belief that the Empire was hell bent on simply imprisoning girls.

I had quite a few misconceptions when I was young.

I thought Han was a jerk and Leia would be better off with Luke because he was a lot nicer and cuter.

I believed that Anakin never knew about his wife being pregnant and just realized he had a son after Luke destroyed the first Death Star.

I always thought that Kenobi had tried his best to talk Anakin down when he realized that he had gone down the dark path and was left with no other choice but to fight him.

There are others, but I can't think of any atm.

Since I was only four-years-old when I first saw ANH, when Vader force-choked Admiral Motti onboard the first Death Star, I thought Vader actually made him throw-up an egg.

That's because Motti collapsed over a light on the table that was round and looked yellow/orangish (like an egg yolk). When I was older and watched ANH again and realized that Vader was only choking him, I remember thinking: "Oh, that's not nearly as bad as being forced to throw-up and egg."

There's a lot of dialogue that I misheard when I was a kid, I guess like how a lot of people misinterpret song lyrics.

One was when C-3PO says "our last master was Captain Antilles." When I was younger I thought he said "kept in Antilles", so I was wondering about Antilles being both a person (Wedge) and a location.

Another was when Obi-Wan said "Jundland wastes are not to be traveled lightly". At first I thought he said "gentleman's waists are not to be traveled lightly", and I had no idea what that was supposed to mean.

There are others, but I really can't recall right now.

This one may seem a bit odd. When Luke was in the bacta tank in ESB, I used to think he was wearing a diaper.

I also used to think that Needa and Piett were the same person and when Vader choked Needa, I always thought that Vader didn't kill him, because Piett would be on screen later. Took 'till I was about 7 to realize they were different people.

Well I wasn't little when this happened (I was 22) but when I saw EP3 ROTS there's a scene where the clone Trooper gives Obi-Wan his lightsaber back and Obi says "Thank You Codey."

Well it was never explained that that clone (or all clones, I still don't know!) was named Codey, so I thought he said "Thank you Cloney."

I only found out he was saying Codey b/c of reading this site.

I know that feeling. The first one for me was 'Star Wars', then came 'Episode V - The Empire strikes back'. What happened to those missing episodes? But as Yoda says: the mind of a child is a wonderful thing. I soon came to the conclusion, that probably Han Solos encounter with the Bounty Hunter on Odd Mantell was one of these missing episodes - and that it propably wasn't a good enough story to make a movie about it...
And another silly misconception: I always though George Lucas was the greatest filmmaker, because he was able to make great FX movies like Star Wars and Indy without cheap and cheesy CGI-FX like all the other Wannabe-Filmakers. I admired him, because HE was the REAL MAN who always did it FOR REAL. Boy, was I wrong!!! Childish, isn't it?

It took me a gazillion years to realize it was Han in the cockpit of the AT-ST on Endor (when they get the guys to open up the bunker and send a squad out). I always assumed they'd gotten some Imperial dude (from somewhere) and forced him at gunpoint or something to call the other Imperials and have them do all that.

When Luke told the stormtroopers that he'd had the droids for 3 or 4 seasons, I figured he was telling the truth and I just had to figure out how long a season was. And it must have only been about a day or something, because he sure hadn't had them very long.

I've seen this before, but I also couldn't understand what the floaty thing was that came into Leia's cell when Darth Vader was in there. What in the world was it? A vacuum cleaner or something? Did it give her food? (I never really paid attention to the needle it had) It finally clicked one day.
