After years of hearing about gentle giant, and the busts, I finally broke down and checked their site tonight. I've always only collected the figures, didn't ever like the idea of having like......well just the upper portion of the charector (lol).
I seen something that I may just have to get....
One of my favorite charector's in the movies, and I've fought against him in a game (he can be pretty tough), and I have the utmost respect for......though there are others that don't think so highly of him...
Admiral Ackbar....
I think that bust is probably the most honorable thing any company has ever made or done of him. It looks really good, and I am impressed. I look at that statue and I have flashbacks of ROTJ, and the times I've fought against him in "Empire at War". It is ridiculous to think that you could attain so much respect for a fictional charector. But I have. And in honor of that, I think I'll end up getting that bust....

I got "Old Ben" at Comic-Con for $40, from Brian's Toys of all places. Since $40 was my target price to pay, it was a deal I couldn't pass.

I havent got any yet but am planning on buying a couple.
I'm going to buy a Darth Maul. I also wanted a Drth Malak but it seems hard to find and when you do find it, its quite expensive (For my price range).
Which ones would you advise me to buy? Which ones look good? Also is the General Grevious one any good?

I've got both Jango versions and Boba. I recently got a few Blys when Gentle Giant came to London's Forbidden Planet and I acquired a Malak in a trade for one of the Blys. Malak looks pretty good though I haven't decided where to display him yet so he is still boxed.

Thanks again for the Bly. I hope Malak finds his place in your home soon.

Hopefully he will. The problem is finding space where the cat can't knock the busts over. My one remaining Bly is still boxed as well, as is Jango version 2.

I went to Ikea and purchase a few Detolfs glass cabinets. They are really cheap and display Star Wars collectibles REALLY nice.
Go to Ikea.com and check them out.

Booting this back up with news of an Obi-Wan in clone armor minibust. it is designed to accompany their Obi-Wan in Clone Armor statue and if you own the statue there's a special deal on ordering the minibust. Head over to Rebelscum for the full story and a pic!
Gentle Giant is excited to announce the Obi-Wan Kenobi in Clone Trooper Armor Mini Bust, a companion piece to the similarly named statue released in January 2007.
We’ve taken one of the greatest Jedi Master’s out of the movies and transplanted him into an outfit he was only seen in, in the world of the animated Clone Wars series. Obi-Wan Kenobi in Clone Trooper Armor Mini Bust has a total edition size of 5000 pieces and stands 6.5 inches tall and 7.5inches tall with lightsaber.
