LAJ_Fett's Question and Answer Thread V. 2.0
I have been searching around the internet and I have been unable to come up with an answer to how rare or how much this item is worth. What I have is a (I think) life size concrete garden statue of Yoda.
Interesting story of how I acquired this piece. Before college I delivered pizzas for a few years. One delivery I made there was this Yoda Garden Statue sitting in front of the house. I thought it was neat and complimented the owner on it. He then asked if I wanted it as a tip. So of course I said alright. He did not tell me where he got it and I have not been back to ask him anything more about it.
Here are some pictures of the statue. One flaw with it is that the right ear has broken off but I feel it can be easily attached with a strong adhesive. It is solid concrete and fairly well detailed.

If anyone can tell me anything about this I would be grateful. How old it is, how rare is it? etc.
Thanks

I think I have seen these on Ebay in the past. Try searching there for closed auctions to get a price estimate. I checked my collecting books but didn't see anything. My newest book is a 2005 edition so the item might be newer than that.

I'm pretty sure CrazyMike has one of those - you might drop him a PM to ask what he thinks. You could also try searching Ebay recent closed auctions to see if any have sold lately.

Ok, I don't know if anyone can help me with this. I am looking for a website that sells Star Wars dog collars for a large breed dog who happens to be named Wookiee.
Please and thank you.

Couldn't find Star Wars dog collars with Google, nor are there any mentioned in my collecting books. However
Urban Pup
will do personalized ones. (Scroll down past the jeweled ones for plain letters). I've never dealt with the site so I don't know how reliable they are.

Hello all! I'm a total newb at collecting and I've just made my first purchase of two Star Wars action figures. They are C-3PO and Obi-Wan from the Saga Legends Legacy Collection series. I was going to buy the 501st Clone Trooper but was convinced that it wasn't worth it by a family member. I'm kinda regretting it now 'cause he looked so damn cool. The figures were pretty cheap, they cost $7.46 in total. Do you guys think I made a good purchase? And should I take the figures out of their boxes? I'm really wondering what to do with them now that I have them. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

We have collectors who keep things packaged and we have ones who liberate their figures. If your figures were vintage I'd say leave them in the packaging since removing them would lessen their value considerably. However with modern figures this is less important (unless the figure is a limited edition). I'd say if you feel like removing them to display them, then go ahead.

I was browsing ebay today and stumbled over a very nicse article. Too bad it was only sold in a whole colelction for 1,200 which I can't afford.
Here's a link to the auction.
If you look at the selection of pics, in the second row, thrid form the left, there is a nice
Boba Fett Bust
.
Where is it from, who produced it, how can I find it?
I'd surely keep my eyes open for that one.

From the pic in
Star Wars Super Collectors Wishbook
Second Edition, it looks like an Illusive Originals Boba Fett. It's a limited edition - 10,000 were produced. The third edition of the same book gives a price of 275.00 USD. The book came out in 2005. My
Universe of Star Wars Collectibles
book calls it a Maquette and says it stands 15 inches tall and was sculpted by Mario Chiodo. No picture in this book though.
Edit - and a look with Google turned up
this link
. I don't know anything about the sellers though. They have it billed under 'Illusive Concepts'. And a note - the cheaper one for sale by darthshemp is damaged.

Thank you!
That was fast.
I will certainly keep my eyes open for it. Provided I ever get that much money to spend together. *sigh*
At least I know what to look for now. It
is
a beauty.
EDIT: Did some googling myself and found some more of them for sale.
Also found
him
.
Guess, I'll go and rob a bank now.

The life-size Boba on that site is my main Holy Grail. However, even if I had the money for it I have no place to put it. So until I win the Lottery and get a larger place it will have to wait! I'll have to make do with my Boba standee.

I am sorely tempted - if the CV is not at a time I can attend next year, I have some bucks with no use.
At least, that'll make CV a win/win situation no matter when it is.
And I will
make
space.
