The animated Grievous comes with 2 sabers. The preview version only comes with one.

The animated Grievous comes with 2 sabers. The preview version only comes with one.

Not so sure about that, I've seen loose pics with two sabers (and his cape removed).

Most likely his second saber is packaged behind the label (just like Obi-Wan's ROTS figure which has two hands & sabers).

preview grievous has one saber. regular grievous has two.

According to the ROTS cardbacks regular Grievous has four.

*Looks into Preview GG package*

I see one saber (blue) and one blaster. The saber is secured to one of his 'hands', the blaster is in a separate slot next to him.

Actually, including the preview Grievous, we are going to be treated to 3 of them. So, the preview one has one saber, the 4-armed version has 4, and I'd say the third one comes with 2 sabers.

...it is entirely possible he just grabbed a green saber off of another figure and gave it to him. I looked over their forums to see if the guy who took it mentioned where the second saber came from, but he didn't. A post in the same thread by another user over there only talks about a single saber.

Nonetheless, that was the cause for my confusion. If those who have the figure say one saber, then one saber it is.

This will probably be the only GG I get. I did the same with the Jango preview, we was the best looking one out of the hoards of Jango's released.

The preview figs have turned up here in Omaha. At one Wal-Mart so far, anyway. I found 3 out of the 4. The only one I didn't see was Tion. I picked up the General & the wookie warrior. Both very cool figs. Took a little experimenting to get the General to stand though. His cloak seems to be a little too long. I have him posed in slight crouch with the cloak out behind him. Looks very cool, like he's about to pounce on someone. I really like this figure. Great looking character.

I've just returned from Target here in Southern California and I was delighted to find some nice preview figures. happy I wasn't much expecting them, but they had a fair amount of everyone. I only had ten dollars, so I could only afford one, and I got Grevious. I also want Tion, but that'll have to wait. Grevious looks great, and he only comes with one saber, sadly. Although the little pamphlet thing that's been coming with recent figures said he would have two, but alas. The figure is nice, but he lacks good articulation. His knees bend and his upper body moves some (I think) as well as his arms, but I'd like to see some "wrist" joints, as well as some other ball joints. But, oh well...still awesome. happy

The reality that RotS is almos there is setting in! grin

I got 2 GG, one to open. I cut about a qtr of an inch off the cape so he stands up straight. The cape it just above his feet now and looks way better than him hunched over.

k-3po! You cut the cape on General Grievous? shame_on_you

I try to leave things as they come. However, I had a huge problem last year with the first Jedi Luke I got. I could never put his cape back on, so I cut it. Then I regretted it. Then I bought it again during the OTC, and the cape had been shortened and the hood no longer covered his whole head! So I ended up getting yet another one from Saga, which was just fine.

I'm really looking forward to these preview figs... I haven't seen any yet, but I really want Grievous, Tion Meddon, and the Wookie Warrior.

my mistake on the grievous sabers. i was working from (faulty) memory.

hey deltau922, where in KC did you find the preview figures? i hit wal-mart on Barry Rd., and all they had left was grievous and the wookiee.

No problem, rebelwookie, I was working from faulty pictures.

I just picked up a Grievous at Wal-Mart and there appears to be only one saber in the package (haven't opened him yet, but about to)...so on the most important point you were correct.
