Nice pics of the Preview wave...I can't wait till they hit the shelves. Anakin's fighter is making me salivate.
On the issue of Obi-Wan's saber, bear with me for a second as I offer up an explanation I used over on the 3SA threads:
- Obi starts the move with his OT-style saber and loses it to Grievous in thier first confrontation.
- Obi uses his PT-style saber (as a replacement) during his search for Grievous.
- After killing Grievous he recovers his OT-style saber and uses it during The Duel.

So, Obi-Wan carries both his AOTC saber and his ANH saber at the same time? SWEET!

Anakin's starfighter looks amazing, can't wait! I'll be picking that up along with Grievous and the Wookiee Warrior.

Looks like the repacks will be making at least a minimal comeback for RotS.
At least I don't need any of those.

Well, really, how many different things can you do to a battle droid? I don't see any other way of releasing them than to do repacks.

I agree JJ...remember that in the Vintage line they only ever made one of everything and then kept re-issuing it on new cards. I see no reason why the Battle Droid should be any different.
In fact, I wish they had done that. The EpI Battle Droid was far superior to the flimsy, badly posed SAGA droid. They should have stuck with what worked.
On a similar note, it looks like the ROTS Clonetrooper is just the SA Clonetrooper from the CW line with a new head...not that there is anything wrong with that. I just hope they gave him peg holes in his feet this time.

GH.com updated their preview section with lots of pictures of the ROTS Battle Droid revealing the back of a Collection II figure for the first time.
The cardback shows:
Count Dooku
Palpatine (Chancellor)
Bail Organa
Padmé
Plo Koon
Kit Fisto
Battle Droid
Mon Mothma
Blue Royal Guard
C-3PO
Agen Kolar
Shaak Ti

I think the Mon Mothma and Bail figures look especially nice. I'm a bit disappointed that they chose Padmé's pants outfit for the first figure, but I suppose they will get to her pretty dresses later on...cute that her left hand looks like it can rest on her belly.
All in all, I think they all look great and I can't wait to get them.

They just updated again with LARGE images of the cardback.
I am most pleased with the way things are looking for next year.
That Super Battle Droid is the same one that came with Yoda in the deluxe set. He's very flimsy, but it's okay. Saves me money on a figure. It looks like Dooku has that huge left hand he came with in the screen scene from last year. The Jedi and all the others are looking mighty fine. Next year is going to totally rock! I don't think I'll be buying a whole lot, still. Mostly the main characters and some of those Jedi.

Wow, very cool. Even though these are more secondary
characters than the first wave, they certainly
look better. Is that C-3PO a re-release of the VOTC
version?
