Hey all,

In the latest Q&A roundup on Rebelscum, the following message was posted by a Hasbro rep:

"We have noticed on some boards that some collectors are deciding to wait until the Target-exclusive Order 66 sets go on sale before pouncing. This year, Target has advised us that the order 66 sets will not go on sale when they come off the checklane endcaps and will extend at regular pricing in the planogram. We think that those fans waiting may be disappointed when the ones they want sell out. If there are certain army builders or characters that collectors had their eyes on, they might not want to wait..."

Does anyone find it interesting that this Hasbro rep used the term "army builders" when discussing a line of toys that only includes one clone per individual pack? I mean, after all, if Hasbro wanted collectors to army build, wouldn't they only release clones in army-builder packs?

Anyhoo, got another Darktrooper today (in a trade on the Rebelscum boards), and acquired 9 more Neyos from a friend in Texas! More troops for my battalions!

If Hasbro really wanted to support army builders, they'd let people buy them in bulk, or sell army packs with 5-10 figs at a time. Without all that unnecessary expensive packaging. angry

How come no one talks about those clone battle packs,
saw one at Meijers (usually more expensive than Target &
Walmart) for $22. That breaks down to a little over $4 for
a clone (5 pack). Isn't that popular? I know it would be
if it was sold at walmart/target for cheaper.

Which clone battlepack are you referring to? The cheesy "Clone Attack on Coruscant" one with the clones made from the really bad sculpts?

More detail...

Last night I hit Target and saw both the Mygeeto BP and the Hunt for Greivous BP. I already have 2 of them, and since they aren't SA sculpts, I had to pass, but didn't want to. sad (The wife was with me and freaked when I wanted to get another one of those. devil

But they had Ayla Secura's Jedit fighter on clearance for $5. I got one for my son, but if the girls keep fighting over it, I'll have to go get 2 more. At that price, I can and not feel guilty about wasting too much money. I might even get some paints and make it up in their own individual color schemes. grin Anyone know what paints would work best on a Hasbro Jedi fighter?

... also, that tri-droid is horridly loose. The least they could have done is give it a clear stand to hold it up, and give it the semblance of being stable. frustrated rolling_eyes

You could try asking in our Customs thread. The folks there would probably know.

If you want to repaint starships, like the Jedi Starfighters, I'd suggest using spray paints. Plenty of brands to choose from and any imaginable colour. Then you could paint markings with regular water based (acrylics) paint, like Apple Barrel, Tamiya, Testors, Games Workshop, etc. When done, finish with a coat or two of Testors Dullcote or another type of clear sealant (again, spray paint works best).

Anyhow, I just got 4 of those Tri-Droids in the mail. Really crappy legs. I'm gonna superglue them to the body and maybe the top hinge as well. Also, the one I unpacked has some pretty warped leg parts. I think I'll combine the best parts of all four and throw the other three on eBay, just to compensate.

I took a wander into town earlier and there was a guy selling personalized plates in the market (license-plate sized). So I got one:

    clickee.

any Attack on Kashyyyk battlepacks left. But the Attack on
Grevious Battle Pack is the one i was referring to before that
comes out to $4 a clone, great deal.

These are the same Stormtroopers as the VOTC back in 2004. I've read reviews on them that mentioned a beef with the head sculpt, but the rest of the figure works so well that it doesn't really bother me too much.

Here is a link to my army (fearing criticism):

Obviously, I found a few more!
