There's a couple of Wal-Marts and one Target in my area that have never even put out a single TAC figure. They keep cramming the pegs full of Saga Figs. One Wally World must have 15 of the crickets on the shelf.

The bad thing is, both Wal Marts have condensed the Star Wars section down to about two feet and filled that whole aisle with Transformers. I'm starting to thing this is the end for the Star Wars line at retail. I was collecting in 1984, after ROTJ. The same thing happened then, G.I. Joe took over the toy aisles, and He-Man and Transformers. Star Wars was crammed into 4 feet, then 2 feet, then the clearance bin, then gone. With nothing new going on with Star Wars, kids attention span is about gone. They move on to the next "Hot" thing. Two months ago it was Spiderman, now it's Transformers. Most of the time the people working in the toy department don't even care, they know there's no new Star Wars movie, so they don't even bother stocking the section or putting out the stuff that comes in. Then everything just sits in the back room, and it gets shipped back. They don't stop to think that maybe nobody's buying Star Wars stuff because they don't need or want the giant cricket or Moff Jerjerrod, which is pretty much the only thing available around here.

I've found that the stores that actually have new Star Wars stuff in stock and on the shelf usually has a Star Wars fan or two working there. But I've seen the toy department emploees at the stores near me... they aren't fans. The barely even look alive! They look like they have just enough intelligence to know that there's a movie coming out about Transformers, so they better cram "That Star Wars" junk down to the end and fill the whole aisle with robots!

I used to think that after ROTS, but then the toys kept coming and are supposed to keep coming in the years ahead. So i think they are just makin room

Fear not. Once the Transformers movie has come and gone, so will the toys. Just like Superman Returns. When that movie was out, the stores were stuffed with toys for it, now they're pretty much gone.

Other movie toys come and go, but Star Wars will remain because Hasbro knows they will sell. Look at it this way, every year I keep complaining that they are releasing 3 or 4 more Darth Vader figures, but every year I keep buying them because I am one of those collectors who has to have every 3 3/4" action figure for every set that is released. Hasbro knows its target audience is collectors, and every thing they do for Star Wars is mainly aimed at us. Read the Q & As all over the web, Hasbro openly proclaims this in many of their answers to our questions about what's coming in the future.

I agree that the Saga Collection should be long gone by now. But in fact, you won't see them clearanced at Target anytime soon, because Target has used the same DCPI number for the Saga Legends line as they did for the Saga Collection (087 06 0576). It makes it hard to determine whether or not Target has any Saga Legends in stock, and pretty much ensures that the old figures will never be clearanced out.

And Wal-Mart rarely ever clearances out Star Wars items. I just saw about 15 Cantina Band Tin Collection packs at one, and they were still priced at $26.98. I guarantee you Wal-Mart is receiving new Star Wars items and not sending them back. They are keeping them in the back room until the stock goes down on the other stuff. But if you are concerned about this in any way, talk to the employees. They may seem disconcerned with Star Wars, but if you talk to them you may actually find out they know exactly what's going on. That has been my experience with the several Wal-Marts that I frequent in my area.

Oh and by the way, I just picked up 14 more white ROTS clone troopers and 9 more Shock Troopers from the Saga Legends collection, so I know Wal-Mart is getting them.

I agree with everything urbnns just said. A few months from now all that stuff will be gone or moved to clearance and SW will still be there. The line is so much stronger now than it was the first time it died off. Things are just a lot different now. Hasbro has the line until 2018 and unless something really drastic happens I think we'll see SW figures on the pegs the whole time.

Semi-clone score.

I picked up an AotC Clonetrooper from the Saga Legends wave along with a Battledroid 2-pack from Wal-mart this morning along with a copy of the Ghost Rider DVD.

Then I ordered 2 Snowtroopers from the VOTC on Hasbro's site. I am so happy to finally be getting these.

Any Walmart employees out there? I would think they could still do a rollback on these saga figures sometime. I do know that prices are ok, but could even be better if they'd just lower it a buck or two.

And yeah, star wars figures will be around since Hasbro is going to make figures from next years video game "the force unleashed"!!! Cool , huh?

What clone troopers are out there that you guys want? VOTC snow for me.

The Saga Legends guys. Everyone on these boards says they're out, but I haven't seen them anywhere.

The couple times I've seen them (and usually all I ever see are repackaged Vaders, Yodas, and Battledroid/C=3POs) has been on sidecaps hidden away in Wal-marts.

They're out there. Just give it time and they'll be all over the pegs in your area. So far I've only seen them at Target.

Picked up a TAC stormtrooper at TRU last night. That makes 3 so far. Haven't opened this one yet though. Might keep it MOC since it looks so slick that way.

Went to Target today, and picked up the Saga Legends Shocktrooper and Ep. II Clone Trooper. The AOTC Trooper's head is really loose. I have no major complaints about the Shocktrooper. They also had a few other of the Saga Legends, and some of TAC wave 2, and Vader from wave 3.

One Wal-Mart I go to in my area has like 20 of those Attack Of The Clones Clone Troopers hanging on the pins. They don't seem to be a huge deal around here.

Picked up a total of 20 Saga Legends Shock Troopers so far, and 25 white ROTS clone troopers. I'm done with the white clones, but am still on the lookout for more Shock Troopers.

From Thursday to today I've been to 6 Wal-Marts, three Targets and a K-Mart. Only one of those stores had any TAC figs, and it was four R2's and two Obi-Wan's. Any clones in this area disappeared weeks ago, and they've never bothered to restock.

I can get all the Crickets I want, though. And I could build a sizeable army of Moff Jerjerrod!

Wow Urbnns!! stocking up are we? You should wait to see if they
go on sale then buy them all? Or maybe then they'd be gone.

I've been to two wal marts thus far this week, and they have saga and a
few TAC. one target and one TRU. Target has some saga legends while TRU has just saga.

Picked up another VTAC snowtrooper the other night, bringing me to 3 total. They must've had 6 of them at the Wal-Mart I was at. Only had the spare cash for one but if there's any left on payday I'll pick up some more. I plan on stopping at 5. I can't believe how easy these guys have been to find. Nothing like the scout trooper was last year.
