I agree, I think they are the best 2 released so far... with Jedi Luke in 3rd.

I ordered from FPI, so thats probably why. It's meant to be a 21st birthday present (which was 19th december) from my Nan. Seeing as most of you guys across the pond are recieving yours i suspect it wont be long until I recieve mine.
This is my first sideshow doll, so I'm glad to read that all the reports so far from you guys say its got tobe the best one yet!

jangofett9 - I'm in the UK as well. The one time I ordered from FPI my order was for a Fett plate that they had as an exclusive and a book (Last of the Jedi series, if I recall right). I got the plate fine but after about a month of no news on the book I tried calling. I knew the book was out as Amazon UK had it in stock on their website. I happened to phone between Xmas and New Years with no luck. Once I finally got them their reply was basically that they hadn't gotten the book in stock. I asked why they didn't at least send an email update telling me that and the woman on the phone really didn't have a good explanation. I promptly cancelled that part of the order and ordered it from Amazon. (I did finally get a refund cheque). Now I consider that really crappy customer service and it would take a lot to make me order from them again. I'd give them a call and ask about your order status.

Yes I agree. When I rang before and after christmas it was the same woman who spoke to me, and every time my Nan has called it has been to. Think they only have one person on their customer service desk! It's a shame because I've ordered from them plenty of times before without any hassle and regurarly visit the nostalgia and comics shop by New Street Station in Birmingham which stocks from FPI. I must say that this experience is putting me off ordering from them again.

When I go to Forbidden Planet, it is the London Megastore and it's also a different company. I believe at one point two partners ran it but they split and one started up FPI. Now I've never had any problems with the London Megastore, and I also got some gift vouchers one year that a friend ordered from overseas. The only hassle was in the actual delivery and that happened because I wasn't home to sign for it. (So that was Citylink's problem and not FP's.) You might consider giving them a ring and seeing if they have your item in stock or if they will be getting it in stock. If so it might be worth considering cancelling the FPI order and going with FP.

Good plan buddy, I know the other forbidden planet well. I always used to wonder when I was younger why their were two different forbbiden planets.
For me, I just don't understand why they can't state where the item is instead of saying it's not in stock yet everytime. Surely they should know if its shipping from the states on what date by now seeing as they have been released.

Well, if it was the same woman I dealt with, she wasn't the sharpest tack in the box. And she really didn't seem to be the best customer service person I've talked to either.

Just to update, Forbbiden Planet (not International) have a date for when their figures will be in stock. 22nd of February. Really don't understand why its gona take that long but suppose I'm just going to have to be patient.

Maybe she's related to the owner. (Wife/daughter or something).
If you have no luck with FP, you could try TFAW as well. They're in the US so you'd pay for shipping, but I've found them reliable. I got the GG Boba Fett minibust from them on preorder since no one in the UK had it at the time. At around $1.98 to £1, it might actually work out cheaper.
Edit - looks like they have him in stock and on sale!

I just looked up the exchange rate. It's about $1.95 to £1.00. So that would work out to about £39, without the shipping. It might vary a bit depending on what rate your credit card provider uses for the conversion.

Could be something worth looking into though, though if i remember the shipping was quite hefty from them, so could end up paying double for the figure than what I am now.

They can be a bit expensive on shipping. I guess it depends on how much FPI or FP wants for the figure with domestic shipping vs the fact that TFAW have it in stock and on sale.

Im paying £29.99 from FPI with 3 pound shipping (I believe). It may come earlier than what it says on FP website but seeing as FPI doesnt have a release date (apart from december in the catalogue, clearly not true!) I'm starting to think I'm going to get him around end of Feb. Dam my impatience!
