I was into ‘HP’ for a little while, and I collected the figures from the first movie (Back when Mattel had the license) but I stopped paying close attention after that... I know they changed the scale for the ‘POA’ figures, but then I never saw any figures in stores for ‘GOF’.
As far as ‘OOTP’, and specifically ‘Sirius Black’ , I haven’t seen any... Does your average chain store like ‘Target’ and ‘Wal-Mart’ carry Neca figures, or is that more of a Comic shop brand? (I’m not real familiar with it)... I’ll keep my eyes peeled, though... Good luck.
BTW, you give that figure a haircut and you’ve got a sweet Lt. Gordon !

I've honestly never heard of Neca before looking up these figures.

It seems like I’ve seen ‘Neca’ stuff somewhere, maybe in ‘Brian’s toys’ or ‘Entertainment earth’ catalogs... I've always associated it with “Higher” end stuff rather than just run-of-the-mill retails toys.
I just got back from Wal-mart & Target and I didn’t see any 'HP' figures... Actually I didn’t see any 'HP' merchandise anywhere... Sort of odd considering the ‘OOTP’ movie and 'TDH’ book come out here in the next few weeks... Guess there’s no room with all the ‘Transformers’ stuff on shelves .
Sorry I couldn't help... Good luck.

Yeah, I was thinking they were similar to the McFarlane figures, which I mostly saw at Suncoast, but now that Suncoast has closed around here, I guess it's off to boring Ebay.
Thanks anyway.

Just got back from vacation. Stopped at a collector's shop in a mall in Omaha, Nebraska and picked up some He-Man stuff. A Talon Fighter, Spikor, and three "New Adventures" figures. It was a great little shop with reasonable prices.

Well I found some Neca figures, including OotP, at Sam Goody; not Sirius, sadly, but at least I know they're out there.
Aaaand, I'm done hogging the thread.

Nice... Ever notice how many 'MOTU' figures end in 'or'?... 'Spikor', 'Ninjor', 'Stinkor' .
I recently watched 'The new adventures of He-Man' for the first time... It's quite a bit different from the original 'MOTU'... It's more like 'Flash Gordon'.

Yeah, the names are always real obvious too. Skeleton guy = Skeletor. Guy covered in spikes = Spikor. Guy with big fist = Fisto. Guy with big claw = Clawful, etc. At least it's easy to remember who's who. Except Zodak. Who cam up with that name?
I almost bought the New Adventures on DVD, but I can't really remember anything about it. I just remember thinking "that's not He-Man" and turning it off. But I'm not as judgmental about things as I used to be.

And early on their favorite suffix was ‘Man’... ‘Beastman’, ‘Merman’, ‘Ram man’...
But, I guess ‘Beastman’ beats Mattel’s prototype name for him, ‘Monkey covered in Cheeto crumbs’ <--- Yes, that's lame .

From last Hasbro Q&A
Q: Not exactly Star Wars, but all of our readers are interested....can you give us some hints about Indiana Jones and what we'll see from that line?
A: We are glad to hear about the interest in IJ - because we are pumped too! While we will be sneak-previewing some figures at Comic Con International, we have to keep the details under wraps for now. We will divulge that there are some very familiar scales as well as a few surprises in the line. Suffice to say that we have top men working on it. The same top men that have been bringing you the Star Wars line, so there should be a lot of consistency in approach.

So does that mean they'll be flimsy and over-articulated with droopy weapons and little play value? All Hasbro bashing aside though...WE'RE GETTING INDIANA JONES FIGURES!!!YAY! YAY! THAT'S GREAT!
I beefed up my Inhumanoids collection today with a big shipment courtesy of ebay. I've now got all the Earth Corps, a Redwood, and most of the Trappeur vehicle. Now I just need the rest of the monsters. I've wanted them since I was a kid.

That's one great thing about the original Indy & Star Wars figures... Solid construction meant you could drop 'em from the Empire state building and they'd survive... The right thumb on the original Indy figure did tend to break off because of the "Action feature" though it seems.
I wonder how deep the line will go? Will we see non-action action figures like Marcus Brody & The 2 bureaucrats from ROTLA or a "Professor Jones"?
I'd walk to Rhode Island and wash the CEO of Hasbro's car if we get a German "Flying wing".

I've been drooling over the UK Harry Potter 3 3/4 figures.
They look amazing, the playsets are cool, and they are really producing a lot of figures. I read a few articles that says the creaters were trying to draw on the original vintage star wars line as a model for this new Harry Potter line. That means, the major characters, a lot of diverse, unique and or minor characters from the Harry Potter Universe, playsets, beasts etc.
Wow, they look incredible. To bad for me the pound is practically double, and these figures would be about $20 a piece here in the states.
I did pick up the Necca Order of the Phoenix Harry and Ron, they are great, but i need the Hermoine to complete the set up!

I've got Harry and Ron, with Hermione on the way. Harry's patronus accessory is pretty cool. The one thing that annoys me though is that all the female students have soft goods skirts. I would much rather have sculpted, even if it would limit articulation. Even Ginny, who IIRC wears trousers and not a skirt in OOTP has one

^ Sorry fellas, don't mean to cut off your Harry Potter talk, I just don't have anythig to add . Feel free to ignore this post .
Since Hasbro announced that they’re coming out with a new Indiana Jones figure line for 2008, I sat down and thought about what figures they might release. Initially I thought that their choices were fairly limited (Unlike Star Wars with it’s myriad of aliens, droids and Jedi) but boy was I wrong! After I was done I noticed I had a pretty sizable list.
I also decided to list vehicles and even some beasts just for fun, even though I’m not optimistic about getting any... I didn’t bother with play sets, however.
This list is limited to what I thought was realistic from Hasbro’s perspective. Feel free to add to and amend it.
Raiders of the lost Ark
Indy W/Jacket & hat (Standard Indy look)
Indy just shirt & hat (Cairo market look)
Indy Map room disguise
Indy German uniform
Marion Cairo market dress
Marion white dress
