Right. The figures are based off of and the box art is taken directly from the very first issue of the comic book by Eastman and Laird. Although the look isn't so much stylized as it is just the style of the Turtles before they evolved into the look everyone is more familiar with.

I saw the first of the new 'Indy' merchandise. Wal*Mart had 'Indiana Jones' ice-cream bars, Snickers I think. They also had the first 'Iron Man' stuff I've seen. Some kids role play costume and what I guess is a Wal*Mart exclusive figure. It's Iron Man in black armor and it's got "Gatling gun action" or something like that.

It won't be long until we start seeing this stuff in full... force [Pun!]... Oh wait, it's not Star Wars. Oh well, never pass up the chance to make a bad pun cool .

I saw the new 'Speed Racer' toys @ Wal*Mart today. Even though some of the stuff includes action figures [smaller than 3 3/4... think M.A.S.K. with slightly more articulation and not much better sculpting tongue ] they were in the aisle with the toy cars; I assume because they're made by Hotwheels.

They had tons of stuff. Smaller cars, giant cars, remote control cars... mostly the Mach 5.

Just a heads up in case anyone is a 'Speed Racer' fan [I'm not, but the cars looked pretty cool].

I'm kind of glad they're coming out with all the Indy figures... I can't recall a decent line (obviously not counting the Disney one) in my lifetime.

Just hope they don't end up being pegwarmers. happy

Yeah beyond the original Kenner 'The Adventures of Indiana Jones'line, the 'Indyverse' as an action figure line has gotten little attention. And since we didn't get a 'Last Crisade' action figure line, this has been a long time coming grin .

I've recently taken note of the 12'' figures of the Colonial Marines by Hot Toys, and I really want to get one or two. The problem is they're all sold out, and the ones on ebay are all 300-plus dollars. Is this a fair price for these figs?

"By the Power of Grayskull!"

Looks like He-Man lives again. You may have read that a live-action film is in the works, but now Mattel has announced that the toy line is being re-launched as well, as a 'Collector's line', aimed at adults in the vein of DC's Universe line. Read the details plus a Hasbro Q&A here.

MOTU action figure line

I'm really excited about this one. Can't wait for more details.

Me too. I can't wait to see them. I really liked the 2002 line, though they don't stand up very well on their own. I'm just glad He-Man and company are being revived [MOTU has more lives than a cat!].

I think I need therapy. I'm starting to buy toys at Dollar tree! I'm like a kid in a candy store [a candy store where everything's a buck!]. I seriously love that place. I could spend all day there. I looked in their freezer and they had actual, full-sized pumpkin pies. Happy Cheapsgiving! What a place.

Anyway, they actually had some Speedracer toys today. They had these foam figures that you put in water and they expand as well as Mach 5 pull-back cars. I'm so hoping for some cheap Indiana Jones toys here soon laugh .

Very true, you can find some really cool toys @ discount prices @ places like this - Out of all of these places, I've had the best luck at "Dollar Store" and "Big Lots". For example, in Fall 2007 I found the "Titanium IG-88" @ The Dollar Store for $5. It's worth looking in there for these types of deals, though finding something good doesn't happen that often.

Yeah the Dollar Store and Dollar General are musts for collectors. I read of people finding the notoriously rare [at least then] Ephant Mon @ one of them a few years back.

Dollar tree has mostly generic and knock off stuff, but they also have licensed stuff too [nothing like Hasbro Star Wars or anything]. They have these Ninjas that I've bought. Don't know why, but the kid in me just can't pass up a one dollar Ninja!

I found what I think is the last of the 25th anniversary Joes I was missing; Torpedo. He was always one of my favorites for some reason and the 25th anny figure is a good update.
