Hasblow has their hands full with Spidey and Transformers right now. I even think I read they were moving back the TAC 4th wave from end of July to mid-August at this point. Fine with me, gives me more time to recharge the bank account.

^ Hasbro also has the 25th Anniversary 'G.I. Joe: A real American hero' line coming out in the next few weeks.

Aw please no.

In other news, my Republic Commando pack came, I picked up 8 more Combat Engineers and another Appo, to bring my 501st troop total up to 2.

Yeah , we need an update!!!
Will probably wait till figs go on sale. Hard to wait till Endo
of July for new figs, but I think this is real IMPORTANT:
Visit the stores that haven't had any TAC figs and those are the ones that will have all the ones you want when they come in.

    soon i hope..

I found McChewy at Sainsburys (supermarket) yesterday. They had most of wave 3 on their small SW shelf.

What's going on with the McChewie's in the UK? confused

When wave 1 hit, I was lucky enough to find a McStormie in TRU. I also found one in Sainsbury's, which I gave to my nephew. He opened his first, and I thought, personally, that it looks better carded (unusual for me, I open all my figures) so I left mine 'pon it's card. I figured if I saw a third one, I'd buy it to open. But I never did.
Same deal with McBoba (except I only found one), so he's sitting carded on my notice board, too (in a star-case! I haven't pushed pins through it!).

So later, I see the McChewie. This is my fave so far, just down to the amount of colour used on him. The Stormie suits the white (obviously), but the Boba, cool as he is, just looks like one of those prototype figures that were never produced.
Anyway, I see 2 of these in Woolworth's and buy them both. One for me, one for my nephew. A day later, I see one in Sainsbury's, which I then buy so's I can open him. Next week, I see two in Woolworth's again which I buy, in what I can only describe as a fit of collector's greed (unlike me, I assure you). So now I've got five, and they're everywhere! TRU had three or four last week, Sainsbury's had two yesterday and Woolworth's had one.

    I can only assume that either;
    • There's more than one per case, OR
    • Chewie looks so weird the kids just aren't digging him
(by kids I mean children... the ones who have a legitimate reason for getting excited in the toy-section laugh )

The last time I was at TRU, I even asked the guy unpacking the figures, 'how many of these come in a case?', pointing at McChewie. He must have thought I means figures in general and answered "12", pointing at the empty cartons. I couldn't be bothered to explain further, I guess to some people, TRU is just a job wink Now, I understood there are 24 figures in a case, but it may be different in the UK, I don't know.

So is McChewie the new Ric Olie, or what? happy

Brian's Toys site. Several weeks back they changed the estimated release date from 07/31 to 08/20. They are an authorized dealer and were spot on with the release date of the last wave. So far, Wave 5 and Wave 6 are right on the heels of Wave 4... a drought and then a flood.

Sorry for not getting back sooner... very busy. You can e-mail me in the future.

In other news, I found a McChewie on a peg at a Target. Only McChewie I've seen so far (other than the ones I ordered from Brian's Toys). I bought it to send to a pal of mine. I've also been doing that with just about any McQuarrie series I've been finding. The scalpers around here appear to have such a stanglehold on some items that I have no qualms about cleaning up on some items these days - I've got a little McTrooper army started.

If you've been having trouble finding figures this year, keep an eye out at your local supermarket... I was @ Kroger's this week and they had a pegfull of 'Saga legends' (I think that's what they're called)... They were mostly white clones... As you might expect, they run a little higher than Wal-Mart and Target... $7.99 each @ Kroger.

That goes for the UK as well. I've been finding quite a few figures at my local Sainsburys - even the McQ figures.

Sure, rub it in tongue ...

I think if I ever do find a McQ "In the wild" it'll be at an oddball place like a grocery store... or a K-Mart wink .

I think we got all the McQ Chewies. He's a shelfwarmer here. However I only saw the McQ Fett and Stormie a couple of times and not after that.
