raise your hands if you could have had a free pass to college if your parents had made you keep your star wars toys in the boxes.

and not thrown them out later on.

no kiddin......!!! wow the vintage days were so great and our
parents complained about $2 for a han solo figure!! I say we
take the difference from what we have and the figures being carded
and bill our parents the difference!

I would really like a bottom piece to the rebel transport. I have
the top piece. Also a playset from Hoth.

Now have 50/77 original figures that you see on the back of the
ROTJ cards. Added Tarkin, death star gunner, alien mos eisley
band member, and my third (one from each collection) imperial
guard all from POTF for only $12!!

Still trying to get a deal on imperial commander, death star
'droid, and rebel transport soldier.

The Rebel Trooper with the big white helmet wasn't a vintage figure either, nor were members of the Mos Eisley cantina band confused . Maybe you can take some pictures of your recent acquisitions? I'm really curious what they look like peace .

And you have these figures including the Death Star Gunner for only $12? The vintage Death Star Gunner easily rakes in $40 on eBay. Perhaps you are talking about the POTF2 line?

Tarkin never existed at all in the vintage line all there has been is a kenner scrap book with a tarkin photograph which suggested kenner may have released him during the potf era.

Yes , these recent figures are from POTF line, will try to get you
a pic. I decided to have Tarkin, and when he and death star gunner
were not vintage (death star gunner was '85 and way too much $$)
i decided to go POTF line on them. Did add vintage Gen. Madine,
death star droid, and ROTJ Luke this week for about $9 total
from ebay.

I still only have 29 of my original Star Wars figures. I had more when I was a kid but they disappeared whenever I move. I would have had 30 but my 4 Lom figure's head fell off last year

I had craploads of the original figures. For Christams 1980, I got the Darth Vader carrying case full of Lukes, Leias, Stormtroopers, just all kinds of figures. And vehicles galore. I got the Falcon, snowspeeder, Twin Pod Cloud Car, TaunTaun, Rebel Base (with the big laser cannon, and so on. I had tons of that stuff over the years. Some I traded away, some I gave to my brother, and some I just lost.

Yeah, my parents could have put me through college by keeping all my toys mint in the boxes, but I never would have had as much fun as I did.

Well technically the scale goes up to C-10, but since C-10 is dead mint it's not really used, especially with vintage figures.

Yep, C-10 is basically a figure that just came out of the Kenner factory. Or could've been. And then there's AFA, of course wink

Personally, I don't care much for the C-grading and even less for the AFA-grading. Sure the AFA is "official", but raises the price far too high, imho. And the C-scale is just a matter of opinion. If I think a figure is C9, then another person could think it's C8.5. I'm much more interested in a detailed description of paint wear, limbs, etc.
