	Well, we had our BBQ yesterday. It's a good thing as we had rain this morning and are having more now. The hog was quite good. I had a burger, some hog, some salad, and a glass of fruit punch. They had dessert but I was too full for that. I talked to one of the canteen ladies today and she said they had 300 people and the food was all gone at the end. 	That's quite a large bbq party, Les! Yesterday was good bbq weather, but frankly it was just too darn hot. Today's a lot cooler with some rain now and then. Typical Dutch weather: either it's scorching out here or it's wet. Never your average mild 70s sunny type of weather Tomorrow's the big day for us: Linet turns 4! I treated myself on a pre-birthday present, namely an external flash for my camera. Picked it up from the P.O. yesterday and tried it out of course. What a difference! An extremely useful addition to my camera, because the low light indoor pictures turn out so much better! My g/f frowned when she heard the price I paid (200 euros for a 1.5 year old flash, which cost 400 back then), but after she took some pics with it, she was convinced as well. 	Happy Birthday to Linet for tomorrow! We finally got some summer back. It was partly sunny and in the 70s F. I spent part of the day sitting in the sun reading, then I came in and read the papers for awhile as well. A very relaxing day! 	Les I am probably going to pass on it as I am fairly up to date. I have also made several Sideshow purchases that start showing up in late September. 	Hey ,what's up? I had a day off, since my mom-in-law is on vacation in Ireland. Odd week Tuesdays is when she takes care of our little girls, you see. We had a very nice day, some rain, but sunny in the afternoon. Sunday was dry, but cloudy, but nonetheless we had a great 4th birthday for Linet! Most prized gift: her roller skates And she's getting good at it too! Linet's always been ahead when it comes to moving about. But her fairy costume is quite popular as well Guess I need to dig up my Roces inline skates..... Tomorrow and Thursday are her last days at day care. Next Monday she's going to school. Pretty exciting times ahead! Hey Mike, have you received your trooper yet? Do let me know, ok? From my experience shipping to North America can take a couple of days but sometimes a couple of weeks! Go figure! 	Hey all. It's been a busy morning for me so I'm glad for a lunch break! We've been having postal strikes here (usually 24 or 48 hour ones in different parts of the UK) so just seeing any post is a good thing (unless it's a bill). 	Haven't dealt with Amazon since I bought a book through one of their er.... sub contracters called thebookdepository.
