My hayfever is in overtime this morning. I was fine yesterday but I've been sneezing pretty much non-stop since I got up. I just took a Sudafed tablet - hopefully it will help.

Good morning everyone, We have a couple of Sci Fi shows coming up out here and I am hoping to go to both of them. Jeannette and I have already made plans to stay in a hotel for the second one which is the annual SFX show in August. I will also be able to hit a few of the Sci Fi stores in Toronto and pick up a few items. It has been quiet for me on the collecting front since I bought the Sideshow scout and speederbike.
I was having a look on the Entertainment Earth website and saw the EE Exclusive Star Wars Mystery Figures for 2008. I love their exclusive sets so I ordered it. It will be shipping in October.

Mike, today I had a nice discussion with a ten year old boy about SW (he's really into it) and I realised that I didn't know much about events about SW collectings. Do you know any for Germany? Or do you know where I can look up those?

The tablets helped a little but I've been feeling crappy all day. We're supposed to get some rain tonight - I'm hoping it pours to clear some of the pollen out of the air.
I think the big German event is Jedi-Con. It normally takes place around Easter but I don't know if it's every year or every two. I know there was one this year. Your best bet might be to see if there are any German Fan Force boards and ask there.

Sorry to hear that it didn't help much. I never had an hay fever myself, but I guess it's really annoying. So I hope the rain helps.
Ehm, Laj, we met at the CE last year. I am a member of the GSFF. 
But we don't have a place where we post events about collectings - not SW events like the Jedi-Con or CE. There are hardly any shops that have SW stuff in Cologne. And since you talk a lot about events just for looking/selling/buying, I thought you might have an idea.
Oh, and at every Jedi-Con the coordinator says that was the last one. So there won't be another one. Although we hope for one in about two or four years.

We had a thread about all possible SW events lately and I'm pretty sure one has posted there, if they knew anything. I just hoped, that you would have another idea for a little search.

Here in the UK we have the Collectormania and Memorabilia shows that run a couple of times a year. I went to Collectormania one year because Tem Morrison was there. It was in Milton Keynes - pretty easy to get there by train from London. Jeannette went as well - we rode up on the train together. Memorabilia is usually in Manchester or Birmingham - again, fairly easy to get to by train from London but a longer ride. I went to Birmingham one year with Tim and we met up with JED1 and his wife. So if you timed a trip to the UK with one of those shows it might be worth it. There are usually a few SW guests and guests from other films and TV shows.

Thank you, Laj, I'll keep your suggestions in my mind, if I visit London again. But it's not planned any time soon. So it might happen that I ask you again because of forgetting the details. I hope you don't mind.
Mike, do you have to remind me that this week is almost over already? I need to learn lots of stuff for my exam next week(end) and I'm behind it because of learning for a job test. Hopefully it helps that I have paid high attention during the lessons.

Currently according to my budget I have planned out I should be able to afford tickets for us in August, so it will be just a question whether March or April is cheaper/better. Although I think my Uncle in Scotland is away in March but will check before booking.

I played the first Indy level (beginning of Raiders). That was fun. I'm having a bit of a problem getting used to the whip though. I kept wishing for a good blaster.
This week's Dr Who is on the sucketh list for me. I didn't like it.
