What type of Star Wars do you collect?

I collect Darth vader and Luke Skywalker as they are my favourite characters.

I used to buy almost everything that came out but now I only collect Boba Fett related items, Clonetrooper related 4" figures, and exclusive items such as Master replicas and Sideshow 1:4 items. I also collect SW Hallmark ornaments.

besides boba fett i don't get any "type", just go for what i see and like. really the only line i've wanted to get almost everything of is the unleashed. even there i can think of 5 or so that i wouldn't waste the $ on
so to answer your question: a lil bit of everything.

Besides books and comics, only the 4" Jedi. I'll go for anyone who looks like they could be wearing Jedi robes (like Kabe minus the vest and plus some brown hobby paint) or who looks like a Jedi from the comics (Used a brown cloth Obi-Wan robe one JQuille for K'kruhk). Other than that, whatever clones catch my eye, and Mandos are always fun (love the new Jango and the 300th Boba, I hope they do more generic Mando's in the future).

I collect the more obscure actors from the Star Wars films. By that I mean the actual human beings. I keep them in a closet in my spare bedroom. I have three Jawas, two Ugnaughts and the guy who played Nien Nunb!
I'm kidding. It's the guy who played Ree Yees  . Seriously, I primarily collect vintage era stuff like the Kenner toy line and various other items made between 77-83. I also collect OT themed figures from the modern line.

Most new 3inch figures, the odd vehicle, ornament, Lego, lightsabers and just about anything else I can afford.

I love when new members post honest, simple questions like this. None of that "How can I get rich off my collectible$ on Ebay" nonsense that we hear so often. Welcome to the boards, PinkSkywalker. The "Collecting" board bunch is a great group of people. (And then there's Juke-Skywalker, but we try not to talk about him. ) Drop by the TapCafe some time to say hello.
As for my collection, I get a little bit of everything. I definitely lean more towards the OT than the PT, just because I'm old. I find myself increasingly buying things for nostalgia more than anything else, except for what I buy for my daughter to play with. I may be the only person on the planet who thinks the Holiday Special captures the spirit of Star Wars better than ROTS. I'm hopelessly lost in memories of 1978, and I was barely two years old! But seriously, ESB is my favorite, and I love anything related to it.

I collect Most of the hasbro figures (except the endless repaints of clones and stormtroopers). The Hallmark ornaments, ForceFX lightsabers, Titanium Fleet, Galactic Heroes, Soundtracks.

Well, I've bought far too many figures this year, but my real collection is VHS releases of SW and it's associated programming (Droids, Ewoks, making-of's etc). Got over 130 tapes so far, but I know it's not complete by a long shot (don't think it ever will be). Got a whole stack of DVDs too, but that's not as pressing.
The good thing about collecting VHS is that I don't have new ones to buy every month I can casually browse around Ebay/CarBoots/2nd Hand Shops etc - although the chances of anything coming up in a 'civilian' store are fairly rare these days

I had been picking & choosing on the Hasbro figures for awhile. But I got sucked back in to "get them all" with the coins (well, not legends, just one of every coin type). I "collect" the books and posters that catch my eye too.
But my primary focus right now is TIE Fighter & Pilot stuff, '07 was a good year for TIE Fighter Pilots.

I collect the "villians", or bad guys..lol. Like Grievous, Fett, Dooku, etc. Also the bounty hunters, and I love the titanium ships! Also I have some of the clone commanders, but not all of them yet.

I used to be more of a general collector, but lately have focused my collecting on Padme Amidala. It's a lot easier to collect only one character.

I collect Heroes of the OT. My main characters are Leia, Han and Luke. Some characters span the saga like Obi Wan and Yoda so I get both PT and OT. And then I get Padme stuff too.
