Coming in late July - new Clone Wars merchandise to tie in with the new animated series. Pictures of the packaging have been released and I must say I like the card for the figures. You can check the pics and story out here on TOS.

Rebelscum has an item on some of the things we will be seeing in the upcoming Clone Wars line. They include the AT-TE, a Clone Wars helmet, Mighty Muggs, basic figures, and Transformers. No pics yet. It looks like July 26 is the big kickoff date. Hit the link to see a list! (No figure list yet, however).

I like this stuff, but I'm pretty burned out right now. I'll definitely get the AT-TE, but I'll only buy a few other things. There's just not enough money to go around.

what figures will be new in this series? Anything worth getting excited for? I
like the new force unleashed look so far, especially the idea of bringing back

I'm really disappointed with the sculpts of these clone wars figures. I wish they would have revisited the animated look they had back in 2003.
I don't think I'll be buying any of these. I might, however, buy the AT-TE just because it is so darn HUGE, and I already have hundreds of other clone troopers to use it with.

Yeah I really loved the animation style figures of the first Clone Wars series. I wish they'd do more in that style. Nothing too special about getting figures from a cartoon that don't look like figures from a cartoon. I still want an Obi Wan in trooper armor that looks like the Obi Wan in trooper armor from "Clone Wars".
The cool part about the animated style figures was the fact that they were so different from the other collectibles star Wars has produced so far. I guess maybe they're hoping I'll spring for those maquettes- but I'll never have money for those (nor a desire to spend that much on one item)
I will say the look is close to the CG animation style:

can't wait for more details, but like everyone has said, we already have the clone wars
basic figures. Unless something new and cool comes out.

I was looking for a time to start picking up Star Wars stuff again and I have liked what I have seen so far in terms of where they are going with the action figures and other collectables. I think I might be interested in picking this stuff up.
