Well in regular stores both are pretty even at the momment. On-line though your PT figures will be cheaper

    Try discount stores for the older TPM and AOTC figures. I know people have mentioned Dollar stores in the US and TK Maxx here in the UK.

    Just to add to LAJ FETT's ideas, if you don't care about collecting mint in box a really affordable way to go would be watching your local thrift shops for lightly used toys. I find tons of stuff in those type of stores all the time.

    Also some of the older Power of the Force lines are available in package all over Ebay for around $5 per figure, often in lots.

    There is so much stuff out there, you really need to sit down and decide what you like and go for it. The newer figures are far more accurate than the ones that are even a few years old, but that doesn't make them the best. I myself am not a completist and collect my favorite version of each character, just to try and avoid making collecting cost prohibitive. There's about 30 Luke Skywalker figures out their, starting from stratch I'd say to get your favorite and then move on to Han, and so on. happy Have fun!
