I wanted to know what the coolest item in everyones collection is. I don't care what kind of Star Wars products you collect. Just thought it would be cool to hear what some of these items are from other fans.

Mine is a "New Essential Guide to Characters" book that I use has an autograph book. My favorite pages are my duel signature pages. My two favorite pages are my Anakin/Darth Vader page signed by Hayden, Jake Loyd, and David Prowse.(Hoping one day James Earl Jones will join that page" My second favorite page is one signed by Jedi of the Battle of Geonosis. Kit Fisto, Luminara Unduli, Barris Offee, and Shaak Ti.

Other notable pages in the book are Carrie Fisher, both Daniel Logan and Jeramey Bulloch, Ray Park, and Anthony Daniels.

Everything! grin

That's not an allowed answer? Oh, ehm, then... *takes a long break while looking at all the SW stuff around*

...mhm, then I think I would go with my selfmade Sleia costume. love

Or should it better the Yoda Hippo teddy-bear? Or the shirt my boyfriend got me on the last jedi-con? Or one of the books? Or the cups? Or one of the little figures... Honestly, I hardly can decide, which one is my favorite... blush

Lucky that you haven't asked the ultimate question... If you were allowed to keep just one item... It would take years to decide. wink tongue

Maybe my Vader Force FX saber.

Aside from my old Kenner figures that are prized possessions... I've got a Parks Sabers replica of Obi Wan's lighstaber that is pretty darn cool.

I've got a few cool things, but my favorite would have to be my Illusive Concepts 1/1 scale ESB Yoda.

All sounds cool keep them coming. I also have a Parksaber. I have the old avenger with a yellow blade. It is pretty cool just wish it made sounds.

This book box set that even Steve Sansweet hadn't heard about.

I'd say you have both an oddity and a rarity, one that I've never seen or heard of before. Boxed sets are often done around holiday time to sell as gifts, usually at a price less than you'd have to pay for the books bought separately. I'd say your suppositions sound good about timing assuming you've checked the printing dates inside the novels and none is later than 1983. I've got three versions of the Sphere Star Wars novel, from the very first printing in 1977 to one printed in 1983. Strange thing is that all three have a yellow spine, while yours is clearly white - another puzzle to solve about this unusual set. Unfortunately Sphere closed shop in the early 1990, so there's no direct source to provide answers.

I think my parents tossed all my old figures so sadly I can't say those. I guess right now it would be this...

Was that your letter he responded too? Believe it or not, I actually know the guy who wrote the letter about the swing set above that.

Yeah, my letter. Took Steve 2 years to answer - and I never got an email heads-up that it was going to be in the magazine, some Lit Forum guy recognised my book photo from a thread I started 2 years prior and tipped me off that it was answered in the latest Insider.

At one point I had EVERY figure from ANH and ESB and every ship, playset, etc. I had THE collection. Every figure had the weapon or accessories they came and they were mint. Then my parents divorced and I began shuttling back and forth. My brother didn't care for my father, so he never traveled with me when it was dad's turn. One time I went off to see dad and when I came home... little brother had virtually destroyed my SW collection... pulled the stickers of my X-Wing, TIE's, lost tons of weapons, pieces to my Death Star, and Star Destroyer, broke one of the light-up guns on a Snow Speeder. Just really went to town.

As you can tell... I'm still bitter about it.

I have all my figures and have replaced the weapons via conventions and ebay... but all those ships and playsets are irreplaceable (to me... I know I can buy them, but it's not the same).

this is a hard question to answer, but I think I will either have to go with, my Yoda poster, my Obi-wan pillow, or my lightsaber, or maybe one of my books. its hard to decided.

Wait it might be my Chewy back-pack. I can't make up my mind, too many choices.

Right now, it's too hard to decide. It would either be the first Luke Skywalker figure I ever bought, or a ROTS Anakin figure.

I can definitely tell you what it WILL BE though:

The Cade/Darth Talon Legacy comic pack coming out in August grin

At the moment? My Obi Wan + Boga pack from 'Playskool' - something I had never heard of before I saw it in an ex-catalogue shop here in Scotland. It's just daffy.
Long term, however, the puppet Yoda I received some Christamasses ago is hard to top.
