If so, I have a question. I have some SW enamel pins and I wear them regularly. However, I occasionally lose the small round clasp thingies on the back that holds them on. I'm trying to find someplace where I can buy some extras, but Google searches haven't turned anything up. Anyone know what these clasps are called? And any places that sell them? I took a quick look on Pin USA as well but didn't see anything listed.

The Disney parks also sell what they call locking pin backs. Basically, they give you a wrench type thing that you can use to screw the locking backs onto the pins. They work well for lanyards and such, but I would not use them for T-shirts and such since they don't work as well(at least when you're riding roller coasters). They've worked just fine for me on the lanyards though. Since you're in the UK, LAJ you may want to try Disneyland Paris or ebay.

I figured I'd try eBay once I knew what those backs were called. I had no luck Googling yesterday. I'll also be in town on Saturday and I figured I'd ask in whatever shop is selling enamel pins.

I'm a huge pin collector and I can't believe I don't know the answer to this haha. I always just called them pin backings LOL. Seriously though, you should be able to find them in any craft store or any collectible shop that sells pins should know what they are. Or yes, contact Disney somehow since they are the pin masters hehe.

I didn't think of looking in a craft store. There's one in town - I'll add it to the list.

I searched for about 10 minutes yesterday and I couldn't find anything. At first I thought they were called pin fasteners, but that didn't turn up what you're talking about.

I believe a lot of military pins [lapel insignias etc] use those kinds of fasteners [If I'm correct about what you're talking about]. You might be able to find an Army/Navy surplus store on-line and email them to find out.

Here are two I found that carry those types of insignia pins. Maybe they can help.

You're looking for this kind of lockers, right?

I found this at Ebay and the name of the seller was something with 'motorsports', so it might be a good idea to ask in the motorsport sector as well. He called it 'Badge Clip Verschlüsse (lockers/stoppers)'.

I did also a quick look at ebay for an open auction, but I couldn't find any so far. sad

Yep - those are them! Thanks! I'll have a look a bit later. Maybe I can find a UK seller. I asked in the local craft shop today as well. They didn't have any but they suggested I try online craft shops so I'll try that also.

Big pin collector here, both Disney ones and Star Wars. The only place I know of where to get the backs are in Disney since that is where I buy them.

My dilemma is usually displaying them. Right now they are in pin books that Disney sells, but for instance my Star Wars ones I'd like to display in the open. I was thinking the shadow boxes they sell in Disney are nice, but can be pricey, so now I am thinking just a large cork board and I can rearrange them any time I want.

I don't collect pins per say, but I've still managed to acquire a bunch. I would definitely recommend the cork board approach - and with back to school season upon us, you should be able to find a good deal (not that they're expensive in the first place).

    Here's mine:

Although with this method, it's keeping track of all those back clasps that becomes tricky. So far they all fit in a small baggie I keep pined to the back of the board.
