I have liked Star Wars since I was young. Now I am 21 and I want to start collecting. I was thinking of collecting the 30th anniversary set with the coins. But they seem to be scare around this area. Are there any sets coming out soon that are worth collecting? Also the Captain Rex offer, is that part of the clone wars set? And if so, will it be available in stores or is an exclusive mail in thing? Thanks for your time.

I believe Rex is a mail-in. Since I'm in the UK I haven't really paid attention to him as I don't think he will be available here.

My local Entertainer has some of the 30th Anniversary figures (including the coin album!). However, these have been out for awhile and discount stores or online might be your best bet. There's an Online Resource thread stickied up at the top of the forum - you could look on some of the US sites there. All have been recommended by other posters here.

There are two Captain Rex figures; one in the regular CW line, and one available as a mail-away offer (you need four UPC codes from basic figs in the 30th anniversary line, along with an original order form found in select 30th ann. basic figs + 6.99) that's only for the US. Australia will also be getting the mail-away version, but Hasbro has not announced yet how that will happen.

He's part of the Clone Wars line as well. The mail-in version will differ from the retail. The mail-in will have a fold-out mini diorama to display the figure while the retail version will come with a 'locker' full of accessories.
