New to the boards, but figured this would be the best place to go for this info.

I have a full sized Boba Fett helmet that I would to display. I haven't had any look finding display cases or stands that would fit it, any ideas?

Preferably, I would like to have a glass case w/ wood base. I would love for their to be some sort of stand inside that would elevate the helmet slightly so that it looks it's being worn. I'm sure I could make one, but I'm not that handy w/ tools. Plus, I can't imagine with the thousands of SW fans out there that someone doesn't have a good solution or can point me to a vendor.

You might try The Container Store... I've seen several cases for displaying sports items (footballs, basketballs). Not sure if any are an appropriate size for the helmet you've got, but the measurements should be on their website for each item.

The ones I've seen in the store are acrylic... so maybe not exactly what you're wanting. But it's a start. I also googled glass display cases for helmets and found this site: http://www.sportscases.com/hedica.html

The cabinet is from Ikea and is about $65. The lights are $25.

I display my buckets using a simple vertical paper towerl holder from Wal Mart. If you want to get really spiffy, add a styrofoam ball on top of it. It also works great for painting buckets. happy
