I made a simple yet effective mod to the door mechanism on the Hoth base set. Now both doors will slide at the same time/same rate with only one knob.
See the mod in action here.
And the simple solution is the addition of two wheels and a crossed over rubber band.
Now to beef the whole playset up a bit, remove firing mechanism from the turret and add decent legs to the probot... maybe a LEGO motor to control the door remotely...

Well, I'm selling off 1 rebel, Luke, Dack & one Snowie, which should pretty much pay for the rest of the set. Also, it's a good set to mod and it has a unique minifig (K-3PO) - look at this guy's upgrade;

Her it's NZ$120 for that set (about US$90), We have no LEGO stores in this country, and S@H shipping starts at around $60...

The Imperial Dropship looks a little clumsy, but I'll get it along with the Rebel Speeder. It seems that the Hailfire Droid was shrunk down to add play features, but the AT-AP looks good. I'll pass on the Rogue Shadow.

The drop ship & speeder are just simple ships for what are essentially minifig battle packs / army builders. Thos rebels are gorgeous.
Also I won a custom Tauntaun, the sculpt based on the design from the LEGO Star Wars video game.
Yay me.
