So, what're you taking for your college courses?
I'm just doing ENG101 (cuz you have to) and stupid Trig.
When I took the placement test I placed into Calc, but I didn't wanna start off college in Calc.

Ha ha - you better be ready to put alot of money into the hobby, if you go the armor route. I just got into in and it can become quite overwhelming.
Plus, you can't 'really' join the 501st - if you want, but why wouldn't you if you had armor, until you are 18.
Don't get me wrong, it is so awesome costuming, but be prepared for 'hidden' expenses that you don't think about.

Yes, it's much much more than simply buying the armor and putting it on.

Lies! All lies!
All you need is a pot, some PVC and a hammer. Then using the power of the Force to guide you and about $100 you can have a homemade stormtrooper. Just like this one-
Dosn't it look grand?
Actually they are telling the truth when they mention those "hidden" costs.
Personaly I'll be going the armor route soon. But I'm 19, we'll be in the AF (which pays for housing, food and I get 30days payed vacation which will be great for conventions) and hopefully financially stable.
By they way, $400 in your first pay check!? Where do you work!? I work at a news station as a camera operator and only get a little under $300 every two weeks.

I know this is off-topic, but I just have to say that I really admire Hothwampa, and sithman. You seem to have your live's in focus, and realize that there is more to life, like college. I am in college right now, but my grades suck, because instead of studying, and doing homework, I am watching tons of movies, and hanging with my friends. Its like i have no drive to do anything, and i wonder why im even there. I sound really sappy right now, but how do you guys do it? I mean you're both in high school, AND college, and you still seem to have time to do cool stuff. I dont get it.
Oh and Hothwampa. You are VERY pretty.

Jedi-Jack, yes, the 'Collecting Bug' can bite hard and bring on collecting fever all too quickly, but really no need to rush it, though. I put off serios collecting for a number of years and was still able to put a very nice collection together over the past 6 months.
Besides, you never know where and when you'll find your next treasured item -- that's what makes the collecting 'hunt' so fun for many of us. Just keep it fun and easy. Obsession is the path toward the dark side!
With sales (like at K-Mart and Target now) and hunting grounds like eBay (I actually scored a few things at decent prices), there's no need to spend all your paycheck.
And do take heed of all the advice given by Sithy, etc., on saving for college. I got two degrees and I'm still getting more ed-ja-ca-shun!
p.s. - I second JediJace007's last comment above!

Just Remember every collection starts with just one piece.
If I was you I wouldn't spend your full pay.
In time you will know the Items you are really aiming for rather then blowing your money now on an impulse.
