Here's a shot of our C&P group with Mike Quinn
He was nice enough to come out and take a picture with us
. I would like to thank all the ladies (and Matt, Angelica and Adam) who participated and helped backstage, you were all great and the costumes were wonderful. I think we should have taken 2nd though
I will get more pictures up as soon as I get a chance, but I thought you'd at least want to see this one
I have a video of the skit too coming soon

RE: CIII Picutes!
Hi all,
I was the giant carded luke action figure in the pageant.
If anyone here got a good shot of my costume I'd really love to see it. I'm trying to put together a scrapbook of pics. You could post a link here or email me - brokenyolk@hotmail.com.
Loved all the other costumes - especially some of those really intricate Padmes! It was my first costume contest and I had a great time.
Thanks! - Drake

, I know someone who got a picture of you, though I'm not sure how good quality it was (as I only saw it on the camera preview screen). I'll see if I can get him to send it to you or find it on his site.

- Your costume was fantastic! I always love to see clever costumes like that! We thought you should have been included in a three way clap off for Best of Show.

M.

Ditto! I really thought narrowing it down to two was too close to call based on applause.
As usual at this convention, I missed more people than I met, but the ones I met were a delight!
DaJuan, congrats again! Bestest and most fabulous wishes for you and soon to be Mr. DaJuan.
Congrats to Obi-Dawn (told you!) and qs on their contest wins!
So many C&P folks with such wonderful costumes! I wish I could have met everyone -- pesky time limits, crowds, etc.
As evidenced by the disjointed nature of this post, I'm still recovering.

, I was the picnic Padmé standing next to you on stage and I couldn't stop looking at the back of your costume/card the whole time we were up there. It was fantastic!
If I could give awards out to the costumes that made me smile the biggest when I first saw them, then one would certainly go to you. Congrats on winning your category.
edit: Here's a pic from the SW official site:

RE: CIII Picutes!
Got back a little while ago. I have a few pictures to upload, though very few of anything of interest as I had a...not-so-great time. I was glad to meet everyone that I did, but the stress that fell upon me when I arrived in Indy was just too much to really enjoy myself.
I saw some really great costumes, but missed the pageant. My friend Kathy was the Zam that took 2nd in the Villain category. Again, it was great to meet so many of you and to see many familiar faces again.

RE: CIII Picutes!
Thanks for all the kind words about the Luke action figure costume - it was great fun.
And yeah - I kinda thought I did well in the pageant clap-off, at least well enough to be included in the final decision. But I'm not disappointed. Those other two costumes were amazing also (I mean REALLY AMAZING!). Plus I had so many people come up to me and compliment me over the weekend - I'd say at least 50 people have told me they thought I had won the clap-off. That's good enough for me. Way better than another cheap piece of plastic.
Thanks again.
Now...what should I start building for CIV....????

RE: CIII Picutes!
Brokenyolk--awesome costume! I was in the audience and I thought for sure you received a louder response than the Han/Tauntaun. The General Grievous was spectacular and a deserved winner, but the carded Luke was brilliant as well. Great work.
Seeing all those Padmes in one place was quite the sight. It was all the more special as my fiance was one of them (Jade). Its amazing all the time people put into the costumes, but the results are usually fantastic.
