This is my favorite picture of the weekend:

I have more (like, 400 total!) and I'm busy putting them on photobucket, but I can't get the sideways ones to flip so they're going the right direction. Can anyone help me?

Maggie - just give me a holler if you want the high res versions of any of those archive pics. I like that a) you can see the side seam on Padme's leggings b) you can see all the top stitching and multiple princess seams on the bodice of Padme's top.

I can't take too much credit for the home page design - total rip of the SW site. It started with me just hunting for a CIII logo, then I got carried away and imitated some of their graphics happy

Ame - I'm not used to using photobucket, do you have a photo editing program on your computer that you can use to flip your photos and resave them before uploading to photo bucket? That's what I have to do anyway.

Ame, in Photobucket, if you click the "edit" button above your picture, it'll take you to a screen where you can rotate it.

There are a lot of costume pics on the 'A Fan's View' website: C3

I just wanted to point out one picture of surlygirlie in her new Queen Jamillia cosutme that I found in Obi-Anne's photos. (There's no 'Jamillia' thread, so I didn't know where else to put this.)
The beading she did on the front panel is just beautiful and the headdress...fantastic.
She really pulled off another extremely accurate and beautiful recreation. applause

surlygirlie's Queen Jamiliia

edit: Ame, you make a cool action figure. happy

Aw, Dawn, you're too sweet.
Mostly, I just look grumpy in all those pics. I was trying to avoid having a goofy dorktacular grin, and it bit me on the butt!

So many fabulous pictures.
kay_dee, your site looks muy fabuloso!

I have yet to see if any of our photos are fit for public consumption. tongue

Ok, getting more pictures on photobucket. I figured out my problem with rotating them, was simply that the thumbnail didn't rotate, so I was confused. But it's all good now. So here are some pics from Sunday:

Some of the Anakin's Nightmare group working on our skit.

Our Luke and Leia sitting around, being cute.

After the show, a nice group shot. Let's see if I can get everyone's names right! Back row: Cassandra, me, Alice, Carrie, Sam, Mike Quinn, Kristin, Maggie, and Matt. Front row: Adam and Angelica.

Thanks again to everyone in the Cabaret! It was so much fun and I'm glad I got to be a part of it.

So that's who the Queen Jamillia was! That was one of my favorite costumes at the convention, I didn't see any others and it was gorgeous. =D

Oh Yay! I found a photo of me as Aayla taken on Friday on one of these albums that somebody posted. I was in the costume for so little time I figured all the photos I'd have would be the ones my husband took. Funny, we both wear costumes at conventions but we hardly have any of our own pictures of ourselves... at C3 we were too busy taking pictures of everyone else. happy

I haven't tracked down a photo of Quincy as Leia...anybody got one?

Hey, Brokenyolk, I was the purple naboo nobility that was in front of you in line to get on stage, lol! Me and the friend I went with got such a kick out of that, what an original (and brave) idea!

Just curious... how the hell did you get that thing in the building?! You weren't in the line outside with it, were you?

I'm wondering the same thing about the tauntauns *snicker*

I'm also wondering how everybody else's costumes faired having to get them soaking wet in the rain. Strangely I didn't see ONE elaborate costumes while I was standing in line getting my silk soaked!

^ oh no! I'm really sorry to hear you guys got caught out in the rain with your costumes! Not to mention I think I wheeled over your dress a couple time backstage doh! sorry...

If my costume had been caught in the rain....well, let's just say it would not have been good. Foam-core and water don't mix!

Myself, Dan, and the other tauntaun were allowed in through the back service entrance on Friday. They didn't offer to do this, but after much badgering and annoying they finally agreed. There was just no way we could really bring them in through the front, and we also needed time to assemble the costumes backstage (mine takes about 1/2 hour)

I really think they should give us some kind of pass or something to allow all the costumes safe passage into the convention. It's not fair to work months (or years...) on a costume then try to drag it through the weather and 20000 other fans. Maybe we can arrange something better for C4. Maybe an associate badge for a day?

BTW - am I the only one who was expecting more than just a plastic trophy as a prize? I ain't complaining - it's cool - but I thought maybe they'd have sponsors of some kind and maybe give out something with a little more value. How about glass?

I dunno. My overall feeling about gencon and Lucasfilm after the convention is that they're really cheap and don't care a whole lot about the fans. Looking at the way the store was staffed, understocking items at the store, the lack of big name guests, etc. I still had a great time, but not much of that was because of the companies running the con. It was because of my fellow fans!

I was lucky and simply told the volunteer that I had to be inside at a certain time for pre-judging and could NOT get my costume wet. Mine was also made from Silk Dupioni (looked to be the same colors too lol). They were nice and let my fiance and I inside happy Of course it might have been because I had my cones on my head already and looked like a crazed costumer LOL
