That was some contest. ALL the contestants were amazing. I was NOT expecting to win a category. Not at all. All those Amidala gowns were blowing me away.

My husband took photos nearly until the end when awards were being handed out. I don't know why he didn't stay to take the group photos of all the winners though. I'm slowly going through photos and editing them. It will be a few days before I can get the SW costume contest online.

It was nice to meet some of you. I enjoyed my first Dragon Con and am already planning for next year. I have pictures from the star wars costume contest and I will get them uploaded sometime this weekend. I also have some nice pictures from the RL photo shoot as well.

Kitrael - that's awesome! I loved Mission in the game. If you do that costume next time you, look me up so we can get some pix. I'm going to do a KOTOR 1 character (Darth Bandon).

I finally uploaded the MOTF cotest photos. I think Cathy will be posting the official list of the award winners at the MOTF forums later today.
Here's what I recall (not a lot - I think SisterSola and JainaMSolo will have to help with edits!). I'm trying to match up the winners to the contest entry form categories. I think I have a few wrong.

Now that we've finally decompressed from the whirlwind that was DragonCon 2007 and I have a breather from sewing (not that the sewing ever really stops these days - already planning for next year), I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed seeing so many of you again and being introduced to faces I'd never met in person and new faces, coupled with fantastic conversation and connections. Bob and I had a blast and while we still don't think we've slept enough to recover, it's an experience we're very much looking forward to repeating next year.
My sincerest congratulations to all the winners of Friday's contest and Sunday's Star Wars contest and ginormous kudos to all the other great costumes and costumers we encountered throughout the weekend. I saw so many fantastic costumes made by all of you that it was simply dazzling and made for the most brilliant of holidays for us. I can think of no better way to spend it than to see so much skill and creativity crammed into 3 square blocks.

Yes, I was happy for Jessica too. There were a lot of great costumes as always, but I couldn't help rooting for her because I had corresponded with her mother while she was making it. And she was kind of sad that she didn't come away with an award at C4. There are always so many deserving costumes, I would hate to be a judge because I know it must be a close call.
It was fun seeing you again LeiaYT! I feel like we were just able to hang out and relax a bit more since you were not a convention volunteer this time. Congratulations again on your win - as I said to you on stage 'You are the winner!' All that beautiful embroidery, your costume was much more work than mine!
