	For several years I've wanted to make my own Wookiee costume, but I want it to be an original female Wookiee costume (Kalyykazza, my Wookiee alter ego) and not a generic male Wookiee or Chewbacca. I'm wondering if anyone has attempted or done a female Wookiee costume before. Also, while I'm familiar with and intend to utilize sites like "Chewbacca Costuming Resources" and "Making Wookiee", I'm wondering if anyone has any tips or suggestions on how to create the appropriate female form or other things which may differ for a female versus male costume. Also, about how tall do you think a female Wookiee would be? Thanks in advance for any help!

	The only reference I've seen for a female wookiee in live action is from the dreadful holiday special. Given the side-by-side of Chewie & his wife, i'd say a female wookiee would be ~6'4" ish. I have a good friend of mine who's costume is made with hand-stitched yak hair....Peter Mayhew said it's the best he's seen in a long time (Peter's words, not mine (heard it myself), said at Dragon*Con 2007). -----signature----- Breaking guitar strings since 1986

Well Mayhew is 7'3" (depending on who you ask), and with the costume, he's closer to 8' (also depending on who you ask). Seeing as Malla's eyes meet Chewie's mouth, she's probably somewhere between 7' and 7'9" or so.
