Has anyone done it? Are there any tutorials out there for this costume. I have a friend (the same friend who is the Jedi that I have posted pics of in the past) who is, shall we say a wee bit round in the belly. Some of were joking around with thim about the possibility of doing the Rancor Keeper costume. So, in keeping with the thought of him doing that as a costume, I am wondering if there is anyone that can point me in the right direction. I figure if I do some research on the subject he might be open to doing it....

However he did tell me last night that if he was to become a rancor keeper, he would need a rancor to heard around. Then he looked right at me! shock Can you see me in a rancor suit??? Is that even possible?

Any info would be good to have. Thanks in advance!

I think I remember seeing one at Celebration III. I didn't take a picture of it, but saw a pic in someone's convention photos. Maybe it was someone on here? happy

I wonder if there is a tutorial on this costume, I mean if this guy made one.
Thanks for the pic link.

Unfortunately, not everyone thinks of doing a tutorial when they make a costume or prop that probably hasn't been done before. not_talking

D'oh!

Well like I said, he might not be keen on it since it was a bunch of his friends joking about it. But if I could convince him that it could be done, he might come around... hehe.

seems pretty simple, not top involved, just pants and a head dress, rest is minor props and accessories.
i got the figure and have made one for our fan film thats similaro, also recommend you get the figures, although small its some pint of reference and better than none at all.

Does the Rancor Keeper costume include the rolls of fat below the guys' arms?

^ Yes tongue

I'm going to be making one for my husband. I got him to agree to do it if I costume Yarna the 6 breasted dancer. laugh shock

And I WILL make a tutorial.

The guy who costumed it at C3 is with the Chicago Fan Force IIRC. happy

The guy featured in the photo above isn't in Chicago, and he isn't in the FanForce, I know him. happy

He actually put a lot of work into his costume and made it very accurate. He hasn't done a tutorial, as far as I know. I always recommend actually watching the film if you're basing a costume off a film character.

Good luck!
