Well I got it done. This last Saturday was our Starlight Parade. I worked my bunions off to get it, and the rest of my CorSec costume, completed before go-time.
We had to meet at the staging area in downtown Portland by 6pm. I had the last of the props and costume parts done by 3pm.
I did the parade and had a great time. People were impressed with the costume. I don't have pics of it just yet.
There was one unfortunate event is that someone ran over my athletic bag that the costume and the parts inside. Someone from the parking lot had drove over the bag, breaking the tip of the baton. The good thing is that it still works, even if the exterior piece of the baton is broken. It is fixable. So it is not the end of the world. But I will post more pics of the finished product when I go back and make the final fixes!

Ok.... so it has been awhile since I have updated anything. And since Henchie wants to see the final results... here is the stun baton. You will have to forgive the crappy pictures.... they were taken with my cellphone. But here it is....
I suppose I should have taken other close up pics???
Here is one of me with the baton (when it was longer). Long story short, I finished it for the parade and when it was over with some guy ran over my athletic bag (all my trooping gear was inside)with his car. It wasn't on purpose, but still annoying. Fortunately, the only damage done was the end of the baton getting broken. So, I shortened it and it actually looks a lot better when it hangs off my belt (that is when I finish the mounting system so that it can hang off my belt). Everything worked out in the end!

Neat. Better pics would be cool but I get the "jist" of it.
