Alrighty, I've been working on this for a while and, aside from the cloak (not necessary, though would really make the costume), it's pretty much done. The armor was the biggest problem, but I finally won over it. I know the saber hilt's wrong, but it's close enough for now. The tabbards and belt buckle were really fun to make.
So, I'm posting it without who I'm supposed to be. I've found that this is best test of a costume's quality: seeing if other people know who you're supposed to be.

I'd be ill-placed at my post not to recognize the young man, who poisoned my Hand.
It is a nice start for Darth Caedus,
I'd suggest upgrading to leather officer boots and creating a solid tunic. Although your body armour solution is nice, I'd still like to see it crafted in fibre glass, or other such hard material.
This is a recognizable costume, and for that I salute you.

Thanks very much for your kind words, this really makes my day. I know there's a LOT more that I can do with it, but it's for a con that's in less than two weeks (MegaCon). For that, I think it will definitely suffice. I'd love to make the armor out of something more sure too, but I work with what I can get my hands on.
The boots are actually a lot nicer if you see them in person. The pictures don't do 'em justice. I'll probably get the proper saber (Vader FX Ultrasaber) long before I worry about the boots.
What with all the 501st that'll be there, I wonder if ANYONE will recognize me.

You know, it would be great to see this costume at Dragon Con. To see Dashren as Caedus and BMac as Jaina.... I am thinking the Star Wars Battle Royale of the year!
I'll be rooting for Jaina to clean Caedus' chonometer! hehehe

part Jedi, part former Tie Pilot, and part-time off-road motorcycle rider?
Not to imply it isn't a cool costume.
It's an awesome costume.
It's flippin' sweet.

It's part of what he wears for GAG (Galactic Alliance Guard). It's actually pretty accurate as far as I can tell. You get to have some artistic creativity with this costume cause theres only a few reference pics to go from, the only one with full body being from the Essential Guide to the Force during the pic of the funeral scene. And he's tiny in the pic. >_<

Yeah, I always figured it was just a chunk of his GAG armor that he didn't really bother to take off. This whole costume was based entirely on two poor pictures: the cover of Betrayal, and the Mara funeral picture with Caedus tiny in the background. I work with what I can get my hands on. D:
