Best Microphone to use with Radioshack Amplifier?

I'm tearing out my hair on this one folks. I'm looking for an around the head microphone to go with Radioshacks Mini Amplifier/Speaker but am not sure which one I should pick up. Does anyone on here have a suggestion? I thought about trying a Plantronic headset for a cordless phone, but the Radioshack guy said I would need to do all of this stereo to mono switching through like 3 cables and a few adapters. Is there some headset they sell that can be plugged directly into the thing? Please I really need an answer in the next day or so before I head down to Botcon. I knew I shouldn't have waited till the last minute. Sigh.

if you got the same lil mini amps like i got from RS, then, you will have to use a powered mike, like a tie clip or headset mike RS sells, you WILL, have to use a stereo to mono converter/adaptor to plug it into, then a mono cable to the speaker.

I've got the stereo to mono adapter. So I guess he was right in what he was saying. Amazing, a radioshack guy who knew what he was talking about.

yep. thats the headset i use with my vortex unit, and those amps are the same as the 2 i have i used at first, now i use jbls ontours with the V1, and now i have a V2 uit on its way to me.
should be able to just jack the powered mike end into the adaptor jack and that into the amp.
if you have 2 of those amps, get a Y mono splitter and you can run 2 of them.
