Ok, I'm hoping that there's not a thread for this already. If there is, please let me know. I had an idea for fixing the mouth droop on a Rubies Supreme Vader helmet, and wanted to put it up, see if it would be worthwhile or not.
My idea was to get some casting latex and coat the right side of the mask, the side without the droop. Get a good thick layer on it, then, once dry, peel, and turn it inside out. Fill this new shape with plaster and we have a mirror of the non droop side. Make anbother mold of this, and of the half of the original mask, join the two, and then recast, say in fiberglass, giving a full, symmetrical helmet, lacking the original mouth droop, still able to fit into the original helmet portion of the mask.
If this is impractical, I am hoping for suggestions on how to fix that droop. As it is a droop, the only thing I can think of would be to carve away some of the mask and use an epoxy to rebuild it.
