I was asked to step in since both your mod and her backup are unavailable right now. It looks like your forum rules prohibit discussion of where to find unlicensed prop materials on the boards, but you can PM the info to each other.

Since it's also prohibited to make threads asking about how to get unlicensed prop replicas, I'm removing the text of the first post. LORDWROTH, at least now you have some people you can PM.

yep, all good places to check out. im not a big seller of the ones i have made, but i have sold a few i built. right now, for sound, if you want it in one, is go to RS and buy the construction MR saber kit, theyre only 35 bucks, you gut that sucker for the sound board, to use in a better saber hilt. i have one, but havent had time to rip it apart with the new house ordeal over the last month.

I would love too build one and I think after the film I may, but with costumes and storyboards right now the time is alittle thin, I did find one sight mentioned at -Removed name of unlicensed vendor- that had a fighter type of hilt I could buy and then replace with one of my own aluminum hilts. \
but do they last ? I mean can you engage in a scene and not have it go down or should I buy multiple replacement Led's?

these leds are luxeons, and as long as theyre secured well to a heatsink, and the blade mounts to them secure, they last a long time. i hardcore dueled with my saber i had a red/orange 190 lumen lux in, for 3 or 4 years, till i finally knocked it out from dueling.

****** stuff is good, but you might not be able to fully hardcore duel like i do with the TCSS part sabers.

fantastic to hear, we are using the Batman cave here in L A , and it has such a great
dark pressence that I felt it needed the Lex's to show the full glow potential,
Master's are good but I have had my eye on the LEX's for some time,
thanks for letting me know the shelf life and what to look out for!

if you like you can see my latest film here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GnlwKWaf6U4
I am going to re-cut it and delete some scenes for a faster running time, but I think this next film will have allot more elements in the shadows and thats the reason behind
the LED's
I;ll try out the ultra and give a run !

thanx peace

LORDWROTH, I have seen your work. Good stuff. Contract of Evil was especially nice. happy

While Master Replicas sabers may not be good for dueling, ******** offers Luxeon LED conversions fro MR hilts and they also replace the blades with sturdier stuff (thick walled polycarbonate tubing). I'm assuming they can stand up to hard dueling after the conversion but I have no experience with their products so I really can't say for sure. It would be the hilts, not the blades, that you would have to worry about.
