It's a good idea to specify exactly which Sith Character Costume you want to do and post photos or links to some of it, showing it clearly, best full body.

If it's just a basic Robe, then can try getting Commercial Robe Patterns (McCall's, Simplicity, Butterick, Burda etc) and modify it from there to fit your needs like more shaped sleeves, bigger hood etc.

they have patterns at 'Joans' and as Darth Eagle mentioned
all you do is modify the hood and sleeves,
Plus images off of google and action figures always seemed to help me
" See" were the masters at Lucas did their sewing and stitching.
good luck !

The Sith's garments are not too far off from the Jedi's.

For the robe, you could start with a pattern for a Jedi robe and modify it to be more Sith-like.
Darth Maul's outer robe is quite involved, with pleating and slits for the sleeves - something I would not recommend for a beginner.
The Emperor's robe (from Return of the Jedi) is more like a Jedi robe, but with a larger doubled up hood and large sleeves that droop down. It was was made in a thick "waffle weave" fabric (much like thermo - undergarments).

When I made my Jedi robe (long ago), I followed the instructions on Padawan's Guide. On that site you will also find detailed pics of Darth Maul's and The Emperor's garments.

The type of tunic worn by most Jedi is much like a kimono. The Emperor wore a simple black kimono underneath his robe. While kimono's have overlapping flaps in the front, Darth Maul and a few Jedi wear a shirt that closes in the center.
Over the tunic, it is customary for Jedi and Sith to wear a long rectangle of fabric over each shoulder, often together called a "tabard".
A fabric belt and a leather belt are often used to keep the flaps and rectangles in place, but there are lots of tricks to keep it in place easier.
You can also find info on these on Padawan's guide.

The keys to making a good-looking Jedi or Sith costume are:
- Use good-quality fabrics that flow well and don't wrinkle - or are very crinkly to begin with (Maul's tabards, Anakins tunic and Obi-Wan's tunic and tabards are very crinkly). Avoid thin fabrics, like muslin, it looks like crap.
- Adjust the garment to fit your body and isn't baggy.
- Spend time on the details. Hem all edges, cut off loose threads, etc.
- Accessories. Boots, leather belt and a lightsaber are required if people are going to recognize you as a Jedi or Sith.
- Attitude ! Be in character!
