If I know Rubies, then I know that this picture is not what the actual product looks like. Rubies really defines what " *Actual Product May Vary " means. I understand that another costuming company will be manufacturing licensed Stormtooper armor pieces and other soft goods Star Wars costumes in the near future. Anyone interested in this Rubies version?

This was a prior posting and you can see all the conversation here ragarding that suit.
http://boards.theforce.net/costuming_and_props/b10019/28899098/p1/?21
some have seen it say its looks OK other's like the 501st say it's crap. for me. I love my 501st version and none will be better.
But to the person just wanting to wear an inexpensive trooper suit; than this fits the bill
good luck!

Agreed. Unless they do some serious changes to the suit that differ greatly from the pics of the prototype that I have seen, these will never pass muster for a 501st application.

I saw some of the new prototypes from Museum Replicas (who now has a Lucasfilm license)
at Dragon Con (but the Stormtrooper costume was not one of them)...
they had the Imperial Officer, a Padme costume, and two of the face
Jedi costumes...
some of it was pretty nice...
some of it was not so great...

I saw them in person (someone here is trying to ask a shop to sell it and the Vader one for SGD2,500 EACH including the manniquin but no shoes ) and it looked horrible. Think the first thing that came to my mind was "a piece of monkey crap" and like looking at tupperware (or was it one of those old action figures).
Rather fonder my fellow troopers armor the next time we go trooping..... (and of course, with that asking price by that local seller, one can get at least TWO full set of Stormie Armor, everything included!)

The real problem with the Rubies suit is the price. For the money it costs, one could buy a much nicer set of fan-made armor. If the Rubies suit was selling for about $200, that would be a fair price for what is essentially a Halloween costume.
