So what is everyone planning for this year?
I'm jumping on the Zombie crazy I saw at Dragon Con... Zombie Bride! I can't wait, I've never done anything creepy/gorey in my life, this should be fun! I'm going to carry around a fake man's hand with a wedding ring on to 'gnaw' on. I was also considering a replica of my husband's head with blood dripping from the neck lol.

Poor Will...
I'm just throwing on Arwen. That's an easy peasy costume to wear around the neighborhood trick or treating with my little one.

Well, I would love to make a Henrietta from Gunslinger Girl, but I don't know if I could get a violin case, AMATI or a different brand. And I don't have a wig, so...*sigh* She's out of the question, for now.
I did, however, get two fake katana swords the other day and red and black hairspray color. Using my Soul Reaper outfit I made a while ago, I'm most likely going to be dressed up as Rukia from Bleach. And if I convince my fiance, I'll make him a Soul Reaper outfit as well and using the red hairspray on him, he can be Ichigo...with slightly darker red hair.
Like last year, we're probably not going to do much of anything. We tried passing out candy, but no one came. Though, it's still fun to be able to get into the character and spirit of Halloween.

Working on my can can, but if I can't get it finished, I'll probably wear senatorial Leia or Snowbunny...easy to move in while taking Piper out for her first trick or treat (the candy is for me, though! lol).

The ladies at the middle school I work at decided on a very open idea of princesses...so we'll have some ogre Fionas, some undead princesses, some generic princesses, etc. I'm going to hit the thrift stores this weekend to see what I can dig up to "play" with...has to meet school dress code, too.
My son has decided he wants to be the dragon he was last year, again! My daughter just wants to be...herself. :~D

I'm going to be a Day of the Dead skeleton (the Mexican holiday, not the movie). I'm going to be wearing a victorian-style skirt and blouse in black and probably magenta-ish purple, with a paper-mache mask and a really big obnoxious hat with feathers and tulle pouring off it. It'll be awesome.
I'm making my son a CW Anakin as well.

I've decided to be a Troll Bridge this year. I've got an adorable hat made to look like the Mackinac bridge of Michigan, and some truly freaky prosthetic makeup. I've ordered a white dreadlock wig from ebay (suspension cables) and plan to make a couple of pieces to compliment robes I've already got.

Alice from Alice in Wonderland (but I'm going to look more like the books than the Disney cartoon).

I'm working on a 1920s-esque Witch costume. I couldn't find many reference images, so it may be just illustration-based. I'm having trouble with the hat, though, because my measurements are always off.

In order to save money I'm slamming all my costume needs into one costume for this year.
I'll be using my jedi/darkjedi costume I plan to use for New York Comic Con.
It's rather complicated for a halloween costume, but I figure if I started in the early morn' I can be ready by about six.

Sleepless Knights Padme again this year. I spent all my time making jedi costumes for my kids to wear the first night of Clone Wars, that I didn't get a chance to even think of anything for myself. So with my two jedi knights, I'm sure I'll be well protected this year!

You could always dress up anyway. People would give you weird looks, but what they hey. We all should be used to people looking at us by now.

It depends on what I end up doing for Halloween. If the big party is the weekend before, I won't be able to stay out late, as I'm on call for work in the morning. I'll probably throw on my Jedi robes and make a brief appearance and get home early. If it's the weekend after, I'll do the Jedi thing, but do a little work on my Shaak Ti costume, or use a pair of tights and blue makeup to go as a Twilek.
