Dying a jacket, getting clothes resized

I bought a nice women's 3/4 length coat. Really comfy, really warm. It's kind of... pink, however (I'm a male). Don't think I can pull it off.
I considered dying it with Rit, but I'm not sure how well it'll dye OVER the redish-pink outside. How might this turn out? Could I bleach it or strip it first? The exterior is red-pink, the lining is just straight up pink, almost hot pink. I considered trying to unsew the interior lining, dye them seperately (maybe one blue and one purple) and then reconstruct it, but I'm not the best with sewing... So how much might that cost me to get done at a drycleaner or somewhere similar?
Also, I got a suit for a halloween costume. It's too big (I'm a small guy, so everything except women's suits and custom-fitted stuff is too big for me). How much would it cost to get refitted? Is it worth calling around for the best price?
Offer whatever insight you can. Thanks!

RIT actually has a color remover. I would try that first, before you go bleaching the material. Either that or go the fabric paint method. There are fabric paints out there that are pretty much like RIT dye, only they have the potential of covering a larget areas, perhaps?
I would try the color remover first. If it doesn't work out you could always try thefabric paint. I am not sure if you would have to treat it like other kinds of painting project - painting a neutral color to act as a primer, then paint the fabric the color that is desired.
I don't know how helpful this would be, but it is just a suggestion.
