I think you did a fabulous job! And I can totally imagine you "in character" and being completely intimidated by your portrayl. :~)

Still working on my ROTS Padmé Final Senate Appearance gown. Was painting/dyeing the burnout velvet for the skirt in the backyard in the dark and wind last night! Hoping that this part won't take more than another 4-6 hours...

Lovely Leia Ewok dress happy Will I be able to see it at Melbourne Armageddon? grin

I'm working my way through my current crop of costumes. Now that the beads have pretty much fallen into my lap the Fireside gown is back on the to finish list. My Reinette gown is also getting there happy I just need to find a good underskirt fabric....

Thank you! And sadly no, we aren't going to Melbourne for that. It's for a Christmas pageant and for Fund Raising events for the Cancer Council. Possibly Supanova Brisbane next year wink

Also working on a new picnic gown.

I have my daughters Sleepless Nights gown on ebay now, she's out grown it and it cost me a small fortune to make due to the glass beads. Horrible child, keeps growing! Gave her Snowbunny to GoddessJainaSoloFel for her daughter as it only took 6 months for her to out grow that one!!!

This year has really fallen short, costume-wise. But, with the stress adding since my wedding is this weekend, I spend saturday and sunday working on a project to get my mind off of it. The pattern I used really sucked and seemed to be two sizes too big for me, but I made it fit as best as I could.

Enter Naruto Uzumaki!

The red swirly was made really lazily, but with working on it for over two hours, I didn't mind. I'll just have to find that gel that keeps fabric from fraying. All in all, it's okay for my first attempt. tongue And no, I'm not binded. tongue

Spacelady, hope the wedding went very smoothly last weekend and nothing beats doing something to get your mind off all the stress. wink

As for me, my Biker Scout is a little flop as last minute I discovered that the Belt (the Armor part) is too long for me. cry Glued on the Webbing Belt at 4am and then see only a space left that is just slightly wider than the Quick-Clip Buckle so not enough space to put on my Thermal Detonator! doh! Now had pass it along to my friend (the one who help to put together my Helmet & Back Tank) to trim off the excess Armor and hopefully he can finish it by next weekend so I can wear it to our CO's Wedding.

Ps: KS Armor is for those who're bigger size! No wonder my friend can wear it and I have to buy new Thigh Boxes to fit my Thighs better. Couldn't imagine how the original ones will look like when I had lost even more weight later next year. tongue

As for my SAINT SEIYA : THE LOST CANVAS Pandora, managed to finish ~80% of it and wore it last weekend during the last day of Singapore Toy, Games & Comic Convention 2009 :

More can be SEEN HERE

Could use more Roses or something for the Wreath, and Mary-Jane like shoes with higher heels. wink Will also need to restring and extend the Necklace so it'll be more obvious under my Choker.

Heh, I still feel I looked better as her "enemy" Athena Sasha!

Next on the menu :
- Finalize my Biker Scout for next weekend
- Finish my SAINT SEIYA : THE LOST CANVAS Hypnos Robe
- Start on the Mock-Ups for SAINT SEIYA : THE LOST CANVAS Hades Alone Outfit
- Squeeze in my ROTS Padme Medical Gown somewhere in between. I need another "Good Guy" costume other than my Snow Bunny Padme Outfit.

Will settle my ANH Imperial Officer (Navy) and ANH Imperial Scanning Crewman later in the year when I got the money to buy the parts still missing (Rank Bar Base, Hat, 2 more Code Cylinder, 1 X-Tool, Compad and Belt Boxes)

Well I haven't posted on the JC for ages...but I thought I'd come back back for the heck of it. whistling

I'm excited to start working on my first real Star Wars project in a long while, I'm gonna be doing Tenel Ka. Totally stoked! (anyone have any suggestions on where to get those metal scales that have holes at the top so you can sew them on?)
I'm also updating my Slave Leia, I currently have Jamin's kit and I'm getting Darci's kit. Also excited for that because Slave Leia has become a con staple for me now haha.

I also got an Elizabeth Swann costume thrown together for Comic Con this year--my boyfriend made the vest and baldric, I modified a pair of boots, and the rest were hand-me-downs from my younger brother when he grew out of his old colonial clothes for revolutionary war reenacting heehe. The pants...didn't quite fit LOL.

I was supposed to complete a Chiana costume, from Farscape, by Dragon*Con and I'm pretty bummed that it's not in the cards anymore. sad So the only thing I completed for con season (unless I finish Chiana in time for Big Apple Con) was the Elizabeth costume. But I've also got planned a Skybax Rider from Dinotopia, which I'm gonna work on around the same time as Tenel Ka.

So hopefully soon I will have completed:

*Elizabeth Swann
*Chiana
*Tenel Ka
*Skybax Rider

Working more on quality versus quantity now. wink

Btw, Banae Quee, your Six costume looks AWESOME! Am I gonna get the chance to see it at D*C?
