Thank you Sister_Sola. happy

Monique, you're suppose to post the link to the Page having the photo, not directly of the photo. Dun think can remote link to photos uploaded to Cosplay.Com.

Ame_V, your costume look like coming along fine. happy

Thanks! I'm also making one for my sister, and between the two gowns (hers will be green) there will be three underskirts. The red and blue paisley one in the picture will be just for mine, and there will be a green one just for hers, and a gold brocade one that could go with either. I want to wear the gold one this weekend, so that's my priority right now. I had to buy some extra fabric today since I made a mistake cutting the brocade and it's too short now. But it'll work.

I finished my Renaissance costume (at 2:00 AM the night before tongue ) in time for the Michigan Renaissance Festival! I went on Sunday with my cousin, who also made a costume, and we had a wonderful time. happy Here is my completed gown:

Some close-ups:

We braided each others' hair, and I'm very happy with how mine came out.

Beautiful! Nicely done!

For Halloween, I decided I'm going to make a cheap, "unskankified" version of Yuna's gunner outfit from Final Fantasy X-2.

The "unskankified" part meaning actual shorts, longer tank top, and putting a flesh-colored fabric in where her shirt splits. tongue

blush Thanks guys! I had such fun wearing it.

My cousin gave me permission to post pics of her, so here are a couple of the two of us:

There was a suit of armor in the archway of the "castle" that inpired us to take what turned out to be some of my favorite shots from the day:

Anyway, now that this project is completed, I have another Renaissance gown to make for my sister, before I can get started in earnest on my Padmé costuming goals.

Seriously. I'll most likely make Comic-Con and that will be it.

Yup. Marasiah Fel, her "refugee" outfit guaranteed the others (the two white outfits, Imperial Knight armor, burgundy gown) being wishful thinking if money permits. I'll probably get around to them another day.

I've found the perfect fabric for her skirt and the top. Now I'm researching gloves. And the material for the vest (where do I get good quality pleather that looks real for cheap?). And I'm waiting for a response for her custom lightsaber.

All in all, I'm hyped and I hope it turns out good. Especially because I already DO have that white streak in my hair naturally (runs in the family, lol) so I'm hoping that'll make my costume just that much more win. Can't help it, I feel attached to the girl cuz of this.

Here be some hair pics.

Although my hair's currently shoulder-length so I'll have to resist cutting it till Celebration V. I regret cutting it. I SO do.

Other stuff I'm hoping to bring to Celebration V which I haven't done yet are:
* Jaina's tan jacket + pants (YAY YJK era!)
* Jaina's sleeveless green outfit (by now I've GIVEN UP making this thing and will just get it commissioned. I've messed up so many times and wasted so much money it is SCARY)
* Jaina X-Wing Pilot

Stuff I'm working on that probably won't make it to celebration V:
* Camie Loneozner
* Mirax Terrik's Jacket
* Mirax Terrik's Blue Jumpsuit outfit
* Jaina's Jedi Robes

With me it's really a "luck of the draw" when I find materials and stuff I need that screams "THAT BE THE RIGHT ONE!" and I tend to have a LOT of things on my plate at once. But I just finish them when I can and sometimes I just have to be patient about it. Took over a month for the perfect skirt fabric for Marasiah Fel's refugee outfit to go on sale and I'm still watching the mail like a hawk for it to arrive so I can explore the texture further and then start researching patterns.

So yeah, lotsa projects but Sia is currently my passion by a long shot.

I have a plan, in fact I'm hoping to have it in a wearable state in time for Jedi-Con, but I'm planning on really wearing it at CV.
