There are all kinds of tutorials that can tell you how to make armor from plastic buckets or garbage can, even from craft foam, but I would suggest plastic. Google is your friend. 
I can't tell you where, or even if, you can get any templates for this type of armor, you'll probably have to figure that out for yourself, by gathering every reference photo you can to see the armor from as many angles as possible.
This could be a challenging, but fun project for you.
Then, when you get old enough, and get a job, you can get the real deal.
