I just love the lines of it -- simple, elegant, but totally singular and easily identifiable.
Dig it.

I have a question; What kind of weapon have people with the battle outfit used?

I'm just going to use the naboo blaster, same as she is wearing with her episode II battle outfit.

I'm still looking for fabric to match my lining to make the top out of, can't find anything stretchy in that colour. I've got the pants put together, just need to take it in a bit and sew the ribbons on.

I wasn't too fond of the ones that I've seen, and they also seemed to be a bit too complicated for me.

I made a post a few weeks ago in one of the EP3 dress threads about one of the handmaiden dresses. I'd like to attempt one for C3. I wasn't sure if I should ask questions here, or keep it to an EP3 thread.

Hmmm...:~) Maybe all Ep III costume mentions should be blacked out?

Like this:
I was thinking of doing the gown seen on Moteé in the Senate pod with Padmé

Thoughts?

Bought 12 YARDS of muslin to muck around with and a few patterns to play with, but haven't made any more progress in 4 months.

I did see someone in one at Empire FanFest, and I'd LOVE to know where she got the fabric; it was perfect! It didn't seem to be velvet; it was a bit stiffer. Her hubby (who apparently made it) said it was in the upholstery section, but it didn't have that nasty rubberized backing.

Some sort of velour? It wasn't super shiny... thoughts?

I finally found a picture of me in my Flame costume from Celebration 2 here:

http://www.oswcc.com/gallery/C2-davidsnedigar-Friday/imagepages/image66.htm

The wind's blowing up the bottom, and it actually comes close to touching the ground. I made it out of silk velvet and jersey cotton in 4 pieces.

OMG, Hi, Bant!!! Been a long time... happy

I'm going for one of the EpI Battle Maiden outfits. Saw the perfect maroon fabric on a girl at Empire FanFest, but couldn't pin her down long enough to figure out where she got it. It was almost more of a velveteen rather than a velvet, but a fairly deep plush, not super thin. Lovely stuff!

I love the flame outfits, too, but I figure there has to be a limit. grin
