Hello, I'm new to this site. I saw that you guys were talking about Padme's shoes. I'm making this outfite now and although I'm making everything else, I found a place that sells costum-made Padme boots. They are expensive though, but if anyone is interested, here's the site:

I'm slowly starting to upgrade this costume (mine is the ripped version,) and I've started making my first pair of shinguards. I still need to trim the sides and paint them (and then insert the straps..), but here's what they look like so far:

Also, does anyone know exactly how many pieces the armbands are in? I want to mark off the spaces on mine, but I want to wait until I know how many pieces I need to do.

Hey Senator. The shin gaurds look great so far! The shoes are the only part of my costume I've decided not to make.
As for the arms bands, I'm pretty sure there's six peices. I'm making the seprate peives too instead of one solid band.
I got the simplicity pattern for this costume, but it's all different! I have to make A LOT of modifications to it. It doesn't even have the chest plate! Oh well. I also found some better material so I'm remaking everything I already have made. I'm starting today. I'll tell ya how it goes.

Originally, I was going to wait until I got new pictures of the whole costume this weekend, but I was so excited to finish that I couldn't resist.
I've decided not to piece out my armbands yet, but it won't be difficult to do once I decide to do so--the metal I used dented easily with a ballpoint pen.

Haha actually, I'm going to get new boots to match the shinguards; the ones I have now don't look right, and since I knew I was going to keep the shinguards for a while, I decided to make them the 'right' color instead of my boot color. I just wanted them done for this weekend.. I'm going to work on getting a new shirt and boots in the next couple weeks.

I'm not going to 'separate' the armbands yet... I'm going to try to finish everything else first. The metal I used can be dented easily with a pen, so I'm going to cheat and make the pieces that way.
