Neat Ferdalump! I'll check that out a lot as your piecing it all together. Just out of curiousity, have you made pages like that for any of your other gowns? Or just this one because it is so tricky?

I, personally don't have any other tutorial sites right now, BUT I know there are several on the Naboo Picnic Dress, and plenty on Jedi costumes. I would love to do more, and probably will as soon as time permits happy Thanks for looking---FERD

Wowie! I'm jealous of all that fabric you found!

I'm stuck with some satin I still think is a little too purple, but it's all I can find. And there is NO good velvet anywhere. sad *pouts*

Oh well, it should turn out well as long as the hues match and blend well. happy

Did you check out the velvet at Silk Connection? You would have to dye it, but it's the perfect pattern IMO.

Has anyone been able to get the silk connection velvet? I have tried and tried to order some, but they keep saying it's out of stock-now until end of August!! sad
I personally couldn't wait that long and dye it, and sew iit and do ererything else on my plate before October--but it is definatly perfect, and my 1st choice!

Well I got the fabric for the dress yesterday. 40% off! Yeah baby! wink

I'm going to wait until later to get the silk connection stuff. See if anything turns up locally. I'm not going to rush this one. I'm going to take as much time as I need. happy

Ferd-the fabrics you picked out are very pretty!
I was looking at the new Insider, and there is a great picture of Dorme's gown...I was noticing all of the complimenting and echoing features it has of Padme's purple gown-the understated dark patterned fabric with complimentary lighter lining and piped trim, similar lines in the neck of the cloak/coat and basic shape of the undergown-fitted bodice and a-line bottom...even her hairstyle is a similar shape, just without the basket headress...
Did anyone else notice this?

I've been focusing on the white/blue-tatooine remake as well as my picnic dress, so I haven't had time to focus on this dress :o( or the money!

But I too am curious about other people's progress!
