My saber consists of a small pipe, some electrical tape, and a couple of clamps. It is pretty cheap looking, but nevertheless I still like it.

Mine is a dowel...
It may sound silly but it works to make great fight scenes.

I am kinda' new here. Can anyone just give me a list of parts needed to make a light saber, or a website with step by step instructions?

RE: Your Lightsaber
Have any of you used the circle hooks with the belt holeder? I know thats an odd discription of them, they're the ones that Qui-Gon uses in Episode 1 I also think that pretty much all the prequel characters with lightsabers use them. The actual clip is supposed to be a "charging port" I think. So I was wondering if those are any good. I'm debating weather I should get one of those or a traditional D ring hook.

, what you're talking about are called Covertec clips. They work great and really hold your saber to your belt. A d-ring works too, but sometimes the saber's constant bumping into your leg can be annoying. The Covertec basically holds it in place and allows it to swivel back and forth without much movement. That's what I have on mine, only now am I considering a d-ring on my next one, but that's just to have something different.

RE: Your Lightsaber
Thanks JangoFett316, I think I am going to go with that option I like the look of the D rings but that would be annoying with it bumping you in the leg as you walk. Not to mention that it would be SUPER annoying for me since the bottom of my hilt has spikes around it (for hitting people if the blade deactivates
) so that could get painful. Thanks for the info, do you know any place other that Ebay that sells them for a reasonable price?

Well, my advice is
Go to your nearest hardware store and check the plumbing supplies section. This is a nice cheap way to get parts you need. Complete saber with blade can be $20 to $30 or less.

Other options for fasteners
Instead of Dhooks, most of the oil-changer places around here have an impulse buying section with crap like "new car smell" air freshener, but they also have belt adapter/holder things intended for cell phones, pagers, etc. THey're kinda like the TPM Covertech (or whatever they're called) knobs, but slightly different.

Yea. I have used them. The wheel part that goes one the saber looks about the same but it does stick up a bit more than the Covertec. The belt clip is smaller but it works the same.
