Hi everyone,

Some of you expressed admiration for my Star Wars collection when I posted the link to my collection website:

Unfortunately for me, I now have to raise some funds, so I'm forced to have to let a number of things go, like:

- Darth Vader Deluxe fiberglass helmet (awesome!)
- Stormtrooper helmet
- Clonetrooper helmet
- Darth Vader lightsabers (ANH and ESB version)
- Special "mini-me" Vader and Luke sabers
- Luke ROTJ saber
- etc.

Please check out my "for sale" page if interested:

http://www.oohyeahzone.com/collection/forsale.html

And sorry about the plug, but hopefully you will be interested in browsing through entire my Star Wars collection anyway! grin

Humm, I don't know anyone that can sell a sabre for $50, unless you can make one.
Parksabers can sell the hilts if you ask them, but that might be out of your price range. sad Some posted Logic tech ones, but I don't know anything about them. Does anyone esle have any ideas for Keda's Sabre problem? Ya' know i'm going to try myhand at making my own, if it turns out real good, I can make one for you Keda.
My neighbor ahd the tools and I have the space(patio) and time to work, I can borrow his tools.<G>

That's Darth Maul's saber and there is absolutely no way anyone would do that at anywhere near that level of quality for $50... More like about $500! As to whether or not that is a "reasonable" price, well when you factor in the hours of labor it takes to make a prequel replica saber, the skill it takes to work the metal, the research required to put in every detail, and the the cost of the tools and equipment necessary, it is a little easier to understand.

Remember, when you are buying a saber like that from a fan, you are commissioning an artist in metal sculpting to make you a work of art. Given all that to me it is very reasonable indeed to pay at least $200-300 for anything from the new trilogy.

I've seen a couple of fan made double sabers floating around that don't look too hard to make and aren't all that bad really. All you need is some PVC pipe and two small shower heads, some paint, caulk seal or epoxy, and you are set. Best of all, it costs about $10-20 to do something like that even factoring in paint so it's cheap.

Good luck to you!

Whoa< A darth Mual saber? Yikes. I know I can't make one of those. I'm just extremely brand new at this kinda' of costuming and prop making. So's my friend, I know he has a dremel, but he hasn't make a saber before.
Keva, if you want a Darth Mual, I think a guy who's made one before can do it a MUCH better job then me. I don't want to mess it up or dissappoint you.

This might belong on another thread, but...
Mynn...
My double saber was really easy. It's made from a sink drain pipe, two small shower heads, and has chromed bezel LED's and some brass knobs for lamps attatched. The buttons are push buttons (without the switches). You could make one like it very cheap and easy...
My Double Saber

That might give you some ideas. I think I spent a grand total of $25 making that saber. If you use "scavanged" parts that you find lying around, it would cost less...
