And of course I can find at least five things I'd like to redo. tongue

Kasey, did you make the trim yourself? Wow!

It's gorgeous! That smocking was incredible. How long did it take you to do?

starfire, I honestly don't know how long the smocking took me. tongue I finished about 1/3 of it driving from NYC to Illinois, so that was about 12 hours. With the time it took to mark the dots (that was a royal pain) and fix spacing mistakes...maybe 50 hours?

I do know that once I figured out how best to do the embroidery, it took just under an hour for each snowflake - my best time was about eight minutes for each stem/petal color.

Also, I have to thank Kris for the last-minute assistance. hugs Curse my procrastination, I wasn't fast enough!

Sure did. It took me what felt like forever, too. Now I'm working on the beaded balls for the back. That'll take me awhile to finish, but it's getting there. One of these days I'll have it fully finished.

For the beaded balls, I took the easy route - beaded wire wrapped around styrofoam balls. But I'd like to find a better way to keep them stuck on. Duct tape goes only so far. tongue If I redo the tassel, I think I'll try superglue - apply it to one little section of wire at a time, wrap it, let it set, apply to next section.

I am seeing if there is any interest in having this trim custom made just like with the Dressing Gown. You would only need about 1.5 - 2 yards and for a custom order, we would need to order a minimum of 4-5 yards. The only downside is it would be $50/yard sad Anyone interested?
